Injuries: They’re making Forshaw look like he’s made of steel at the minute. Those managing to get games called off due to Covid, I wonder if they’ve more players out than we have?
Just heard that Leicesters match has been called off because they've 9 players out I think because of covid. We've a lot out with injuries but there is no way we'd be able to get a game called off. You'd think that they would have enough squad players or jr teams to pick from.
Would seem to be 2 different rules where a club that has lost half its squad through injuries has to play with kids, yet a team that loses players through covid can get the game cancelled?
You'd think those teams whose staff/players who get covid, should get punished for not following the guidelines because somewhere along the line there is something going wrong.
Tottenham now got 3 games in hand. Not sure if they have to fit in their final europa conference group game in too.
The Euro game has been scrapped mate. you would think that most players have been jabbed, so how come so many are contracting covid. Brentford now have 13 players with a positive test. If the jab doesnt work well whats the point of covid passports for match attendance, its pointless
Bielsa when asked about his future… I'm going to fight until the end of the season without any doubts. I hope nothing happens that doesn't allow me to do that."
That was proper fighting talk from Bielsa and you love to see it. I was worried he would walk but no hes up for it
Also said he’s never said he doesn’t want new players in, he just mentioned that he wants the players they bring in to be better than they’ve got already so I think some have misinterpreted what he’s said before about transfers.
Wonder if the postponed games situation benefits us? What I mean is there are clubs that already have to squeeze 3 games extra into a truncated season. So clubs that can play their games on schedule could maybe be better off later in the season when some clubs are having to play every 2 days to complete the season on time?
Yes, touched on that yesterday, with Burnley already 2 games behind, could cause a bit of a problem for them.
Think we only have 1 midweek game (away at Villa) left in the new year. Suppose a lot will depend on FA Cup runs/replays (3rd/4th round), etc. So I think currently it's manageable for the teams at our end of the table.
