    Does anyone hope that they get promoted this season?

    Wouldn't it be great if we had 4 derby games a season?

    I don't see it as anywhere near as big as the Sunderland derbies, but I'd like to beat them, and Boro at home always creates a great atmosphere. The banter is always great.

    I also like seeing Boro vs Sunderland as well, to take the piss out of Sun'lun when they get beat by them :eek:

    Anyone else hope they get promoted?

    I would love, boro, hartlepool, darlo and gatesheand in the prem sadly not going to happen

    Sorry but Boro isn't a derby in my opinion. Couldn't care less where they end up would rather see Gateshead get into the league than Boro get in the PL.

    Not a derby but at least its an easier game to get to. I'd love a Premier League where the next closest away trip than Sunderland wasn't Bolton, so I'd love the likes of Boro, the Sheffield clubs and even Leeds to get back up. Sick of 'the North' being under-represented at top flight level.

    Yeah I know what you mean and I do enjoy the banter etc but it just doesn't have that special feeling for me. Agree about the North being under represented, I mean out of the 'proper North' there is only Us, Mackems, Boro, Carlisle and Hartlepool playing league football at the minute.

    Agreed. As big as the rivalry is between the local teams it's always good to see northern sides in the prem.

    Sunderland, Newcastle, Bolton, Wigan, Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Everton and Blackburn. Nearly half of the PL are teams from 'the north', so not badly represented at all.

    As for games with Boro, surely they are still more of a derby than say the likes of the Old Farm, geographically speaking.

    Living in Teesside id love them to get promoted. Its a massive game for me cause all my mates are Boro fans. Their nearly as bad as the Geordies at being fickle when there doing well!

    hell no. boro is an awful little town and a horrible place to visit. used to work there, wouldnt go back.

    in fact my first ever away game was at boro, 2-2. shearer was in the stand, met him. great day other than a draw. still wouldnt go back.

    would ideally like southampton, palace and west ham to come up.

    altough for hughtons sake i'd take brum over the hammers

    Worked with a lot of good boro lads both up here and down there so I personally would like them to come up.
    The Navigation pub always reserves a warm welcome to visiting fans.

    I have absolutely no feelings towards Boro that are complementary at all. ****ty town, ****ty people, ****ty area where the ground is and the ****tiest of fans in the country.

    I do however like the Chairman and owner immensely and have a huge respect and admiration for him. I also think Mowbray (although I despise the whinging twat) deserves huge praise for what he has achieved there and I think West Ham and Boro will piss the league this season personally.
