Man Utd have had to close their training ground due to a Covid outbreak, they have announced to the media that they have informed the PL of this and have requested advice on playing Brentford and Brighton. Whilst awaiting for instruction and a decision from the PL they have took it on themselves to cancel their travel plans to London. Self entitled arseholes trying to force the PL hand into allowing their games to be postponed before they are, or just confident that Masters will give them what they want?
Not sure what the PL rules are but I think Europe rules are if you have 13 players and a GK they have to play or forfeit the match. If the PL bend for them it sets the standard and whenever a club doesn’t want to play they will just play this card. So make them play it. If it’s a health risk or a wider problem I.e everyone is having cases then the decision then needs to be to have a break in the season. For everyone. And that would suit us. So for me it’s either one rule for all. Or nothing at all.
So let me get this right - they could potentially have a two game rest, then take on Newcastle? Masters - "where do I sign?"
yep, if they can select 14 or more players from their squad list then no postponement will be granted....unless you're Man Utd or one of the ESL 6....or due to play us soon! They should just put the season on hold from now until mid-jan and give this time to settle down rather than have players/fans travelling up and down the country potentially spreading it out further. Players to move back to their covid bubbles etc and train in isolation if any positive tests returned etc. Won't happen of course cos of them ****s at Sky....and Masters !!
Surly the whole point in a development squad is to bring the youngsters into the first team in an injury crisis? **** Man Utd, **** Spurs and **** the EPL for allowing this utter tosh. We've had a far more devastating disease than Covid, We've been hampered by Mikevid. We've still been forced to play our fixtures.
So apparently our whole squad are doing covid tests today. If by chance we have some positive tests (Leicester had some cases) we are within our rights to cancel the upcoming fixtures. If they don’t allow it. It’s corrupt.
I don't see any gain in postponing this or the next game tbh. These are two write off fixtures regardless of January..
I agree but it’s not my point. Interestingly not only do we have arguably the hardest possible fixture list over the next 3 weeks we also have the shortest time in prep between them.
Yes although how do we know how many cases are involved at Tottenham or Manchester? I would imagine you'd have to have large numbers for a postponement. I think newcastle should look to postpone tactically
One rule for one mate. It is irrelevant anyways as you say we are losing the next 3 games (likely) anyways.
I don't think that will happen they're just going to reinvent the rules to stop nufc competing. If nufc goes down they'll make sure while they're away that more obstacles await them if the gain promotion
