Imo he knows full well at his age how to leave it dangling out there and was magnanimous. I am willing to bet button said daylight robbery mate to him once it cut
Hamilton very smart. Leaves mask on for the podium to avoid any shots. I'd say he will vanish quick now after taking trophy
They should and I genuinely think it'll get put back to the positions behind the safety car. Otherwise just call it - WWF1
Absolutely stunned.... We'll certainly remember this season. Sad that Hamilton hasn't got number 8.... Annoyed how it ended, but wow....what a season.
I don't care. For a neutral that was absolutely brilliant!!! Can everyone see now how wolff tries to influence the race director.
I think they will take it to court and it should get put back as you say but it won't. It would be too big an over turn honestly. A single race maybe, the title deciding race, I highly doubt they'll over turn it.
You say that, but the choice was to not let the cars through until Horner got on the radio. They are as bad as each other. I feel Toto has only got this bad as of Horner trying to influence honestly.
Im calling it now- Lewis might take a year out as part of an agreement with Merc. He has looked mentally and physically fried until the last few races and that will be a wounder in those circumstances. Just a horrible way to lose it. That way he can assess the regs and give Merc a year to read them and get to grips (if they aren’t dominant again) Congrats to Max- he has had the pace all year to be a champ. As for that imbecile Michael Masi- he can **** off. He’s like the football referees who can’t wait to get in the limelight - attention seeking little bugger. A shame that we’ve had to see it decided like that with the most bizarre safety car call I have ever see .
It's the right outcome for entertainment. Whether Massi should be making up rules as he goes to engineer it is another question.
This result feels worse than an engine failure for one of them on lap 1. All that build up and hype, all those new fans and publicity, and this is what the FIA show to the world. I can see them replacing Masi over the winter and putting it all on him to try and cover themselves and it really looks bad at the moment.
It's good for F1 to have a new champion, we've had the same old, same old for far too long. Good to see the new blood rising to the top. Good for the future.
I'd class myself as a neutral in terms of drivers because I didn't care who wins. I thought Lewis' experience would win through , but hoped Max would win it on the track becasue I thought it would be good for the sport. However, as a motorsport fan of 40+ years that just leaves me feeling sick. In terms of Wolff influencing the race director, he has a long long way to go to catch up with Horner on that score.
