Anyone seen any updates on our Covid cases? Presumably they are tested daily? If lucky, the virus should pass quickly with the young and fit?
Not seen an update but (and while age and fitness can be factors) I’ve known people my age (late 20s) who are in good shape get knocked for six by this. Professional athletes, somewhat interestingly, often are more vulnerable to disease too, because while they’re mostly in great shape and mostly live pretty clean lives, they push their bodies really hard and that can compromise the immune system a bit. So not to be a downer but there’s no assumptions to be made here and we’ll just have to take it as it comes.
Just to follow up on this, apparently there’s going to be a round of testing on Saturday, and the Sunday results will give an indication of when full training can resume. This is per Ali Gold.
Knocked me out for almost two weeks. I'm a 32 year old fat prick but I’ve got no health issues. Thing’s rough. Ironically had a cold the last week, makes you further realise just bad covid is, I’ll be grateful for every time I get a cold now!
No confirmation about who we're donating the studs-up challenge from Eric Dier to Rennes' managing director to
Rob Guest (colleague of Ali Gold so I’ll assume reliability) reporting that our U23s have been sent home due to positive tests and that we have a new positive test in the first team squad.
Singaporean billionaire Forrest Li has denied being a Tekken character, as well as rumours that he's planning to invest in Spurs after being seen with Levy during our match with Norwich
Lots of love for Dier around at the moment. Conte convinced he can be one of the best in the world (call me sceptical, but I'd love to see it). Given the criticism of him on here, I have a short questionnaire for you all
I think almost 3 years of no shows pushes a man like me…I mean that’s almost a whole contract of doing no where near what is expected.
He’s quietly having his best season for a while, and I couldn’t be more pleased. By all accounts a smashing lad. I think he struggled for a while with a lack of a good, consistent partners and also lost form, confidence, and his body wasn’t right after he put on all that muscle and lost a yard of pace. If he can cut the errors out of his game a bit more then he has all the ingredients of a solid CB and it would be a great redemption story too. He’s only 27 and could have at least 5 years at the top of his game if he can sort it out.
