Seems a decent player it's a squad game and that's really the aim in January I would think.. Plugging a few holes

The problem is our holes are gaping like a Mackem's sisters gash at a family birthday bash.

We're a Wilson injury away from disaster upfront and Gayle is not the answer.

We're okay at LW with Almiron able to cover ASM and even challenge him for a starting berth.

RW is just a joke at the minute. I had hoped Fraser would come good but nah.

Our central midfield is shockingly lightweight and needs improved. I'm keen to see Joelinton played as a marauding dcm.

CD is creaking and needs at least 1 ideally 2 new improvements.

RWB and LWB need improved also.

    GK needs improved long term.

If this is a serious Saudi project, every position can and should be upgraded in time. Some positions are a higher priority - CM, CB, RM, LB and CF. The club should be aiming for five signings in these positions in Jan as a start. Then on to the Summer.

If it's to be believed they want rid of Trippier to make way for Aarons. Surely we should just go for Aarons?
I agree though, there are far more pressing concerns for now

Max Aarons would be amazing. Trippier would be amazing.

2 quality central midfielders is the main goal for me.

Trippier would be great in our situation. Experienced and by all accounts a good leader which we need.

Apparently we have made contact about Gini. And he is interested. I don’t know if I believe it.

But I would take him back.

I can believe that.. I think he's got one move left and might feel he owes us another go after the relegation

Barca have just put Ter Stegen £40m, De Jong £80m and Dest on the transfer market.

We have 5 CB options's to play in 2 places currently. 7 if you include Dummett and Krafth. There is no need for any more squad options, even if 1 or 2 leave in January at CB.

And then there are way better options out there than Jondon.

Is it just me or would I be happier if every club just said - "no we don't want Barcelona players" and basically just left them to crash in to financial oblivion and then pick the bones out of them once they go into administration.

They've no hope of CL this year (unless they win the EL of course) and are well and truly screwed if clubs leave their players alone.
