Wheels not come off yet but definitely got the wobbles. Three below par games in a row, all with dumb mistakes. Jorginho and Mendy this game ,both need a kick up the arse. Looked as if a bit of complacency has crept in recently, but dropping from 1st to 3rd in the blink of an eye might sharpen focus a bit.
Lots of good play mixed in with increasing moments of sloppiness needs correcting.
Mount looks back to full health and approaching his top level again.
Credit to Hammers, they must be the most improved team of the season so far.

We were always going to need a clean bill of health and to be at our best with City/LFC not at theirs to have any chance.

Ordinarily you could dismiss this as a blip, but much like Liverpool last season when we lose too many first team players from the XI we look distinctly average as the games against Man Utd/Watford/West Ham have shown.

It's the usual Xmas time blues. Started too early for me.

Too true. We have a problem with Pulisic being very inconsistent, Werner just not doing well enough, CHO not as versatile at wing back as we'd hoped, Havertz seemingly unable to find his best position in our set up and Ziyech, who is finally looking sharper and more involved ,strangely replaced by Audi against Hammers.. Fortunately Mount looks to have kicked off his poor form and is almost back to his best. Throw in a so far disappointing Lukaku even when fit. January would be a good time to trim down the number of front players with loan- outs or sales, it's too many players needing game time who don't show up when they get some.
Nevertheless, we have shown we can be extremely competitive, hard to beat, and play brilliantly, so season 2 of Audi is actually going pretty damn well. And with Chilwell, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic to return, I expect a lift after the Xmas season.

Agree with all this. Jorg has played through the last two games with a hip injury and is well below par.

If Kova was fit we would not have played him

And wouldn't you know, soon as Kovacic restarts training he gets a positive result for the virus !!!! We're having a lousy run with injuries and sickness !!

It was always a big ask to expect Jorginho, Kovacic and Kante to complete 6 competitions off the back of a short season. We have to buy in January or we will really suffer badly this season.

England had no warm up matches to talk of, and Brisbane is traditionally a bowlers pitch which becomes a great spinners pitch last couple of days. This is no great Aussie side, apart from excellent pace attack, so long way to go yet.
