What a wonderful Christmas card to send a message of no hope for the Excited States of America. Insanity beyond belief. The message said: Santa please send ammo! One reply they got was a photo of someone's daughter who was murdered in a school shooting rampage along with another shot of her grave. This senator from the deeply religious south needs to be taught a lesson in humanity, but that won't ever happen especially as he is a Chump supporter. Sad old world.

P.S. Don't ever turn your back on this lot despite their sickly grins.

I must admit that I enjoy a bit of clay pigeon shooting now and again and I have a small shooting range between my house and garage where I fire my air rifle and pistol at cans and plastic bottles for a bit of fun occasionally.
I hate blood ‘sports’ though - I only shoot at targets.
Out of interest Mike, what are the gun laws in Canada? I assume they must be stricter than the states….

Used to love Clay pigeon shooting...had a mate that rented farmers fields to setup shooting stations, all different which made it an event and a great day out.. Groups of 7 would go through the best part of 500 cartridges, aching shoulder next day!!!!
Never had any interest to shoot any livestock, just a bit of fun!!

It's not necessarily the gun laws in the states that are to blame, but the people using them recklessly, and the change of direction.

The state of Maine has the highest percentage of gun ownership per head anywhere in the 50 states, but the lowest crime and murder rate.

But elsewhere, the loony 'woke' left have got their wish of defunding the Police in cities such as Chicago and New York, and murder and gun crime is up well over 100% in both places inside the last year.

Weekly shootings in Chicago alone are into the hundreds and due to the defunding, people are no longer afraid of the Police as they know they can't lay a finger on them no matter what they do. As a result hundreds of Police every week are resigning and it will end in even more bloodshed.

I've always thought (rightly or wrongly) that the biggest danger of mass gun ownership is 'spur of the moment' incidents - like Road Rage - or someone being aggressive when queue-jumping, where normal law-abiding people have a firearm easy to hand (in their glovebox or coat for example) and use it in a moment of rage when the 'red mist' comes down - and by the time they have calmed down moments later it's too late and a murder has been committed.

    Agreed

There are millions of Americans, like the vast vast majority of the inhabitants of Maine who own guns for sport (mainly hunting) and protecting themselves from Grizzly Bears and stuff in the great outdoors, and there will also be hundreds of thousands in Chicago who run with a gang because it's inherent, and they are totally gung ho about carrying a deadly weapon which isn't ever going to be to protect them from a bear, but that will take the life of another human in a heartbeat.
America under this President is a joke in the eyes of the world

you must be 50m from a public place / access.. also depends on the grade of the discharge velocity! I had 3 acres and just 1 spot in the triangular shape of a distance around 40m to use it!

oh PS dont take it to Scotland different rules and laws .....

The gun laws here in Canada are close to what you have over there and it just amazes me about the American psyche when it comes to serious weaponry in the hands of the general public. Having accidentally shot a friend and sending him to hospital has left me with a fear of guns but I did become champion shot at my basic army training in the T.A. The semantics of the obsession with guns, under any president, makes me ask do you really need several AK47s to shoot rabbits? How many school massacres or killing of the public for any reason can you come up with to realize that there is an issue?

So many Americans arrive at the B.C. border with weaponry beyond belief on their way to Alaska and can't believe that we actually have laws on guns designed to protect the public which does not allow guns to be brought in to Canada. The solution at the border is simple because either you surrender your weapons and pick them up on your way back or run off crying in disbelief back to where they came from. I prefer the latter!

However you can never legislate idiots who decide to get a gun to create mayhem but south of the 49th they give them to anyone and you don't even have to prove that you are an idiot. Banks have been known to give them away when you open a new account which, forgive me please, sounds a tad out of order and probably could be used to rob that same establishment. <steam><steam>
