From Jose Jiffie that said that lightweight Pato was useless for us and needed to move on because he wasn't good enough......
O'Dowda not good enough, Weimann not good enough. Not sure who's good enough in your eyes for our high flying club....I'm sure I remember you having a go at Kalas just a few months back.....Oh and Bentley.....who else? remind me!! I bet if we had Messi you'd have something to moan about..
NB. I thought it a perfectly honest question, but yet again you turn it into slanging match.......we should leave it there as IMO it's like debating with Trigger from only fools.!!

Mate you are just lying again, I can criticise players after poor performances and every single player you mentioned I prefaced with facts, just like I have with Palmer, all you got is you know best.

I said ODowda had never been consistent since his arrival, I also said recently that I would keep him at least until the summer to see if he could find that consistency and at least he is putting the effort in.

I said Weimann was not good enough as a midfielder and should only be used either out wide or down the middle.

I said Kalas and Baker had fallen out big style over a domestic matter, Pearson had banged their heads together and Baker accepted it straight away but Kalas took longer, I also recently criticised him for a diving header that was about 12 to 18 inches off of the ground that cost us a goal, I also said there must be a reason that better teams than us have not tried to sign him.

I criticised Bentley earlier in the season for mistake that led to Luton's equaliser, I also said he is not the best at dealing with crosses and again I said that it is strange that as one of the best keepers in the championship again it's strange that better teams had not been in for him.

Everything I have said above is verifiable and I suspect that everybody reading your lies would know that as well.

I suggest that you put the bottle away.

Why would you keep O'Dowda until the summer if you think he's not been consistent since he's arrived? Who in your opinion is always consistent or you've not criticised out of curiosity cus I can't remember any players you haven't moaned about?
Why would you drop Weimann & not Martin out of interest?

I know that English does not appear to be your 1st language, but I will try once more, I have said over the last 3 games at least ODowda is putting in effort to improve his consistency, he is not quite there yet but is improving, I would love nothing more than to see him consistently put in displays showing that he is the player that we thought we were signing and the same could be said about Wells.
I watch every game and have done for over 4 years now so I believe that I am entitled to criticise individual performances if I so wish. I don't expect everybody to agree.
Before the Derby game Weimann had put in 3 below par performances and I felt maybe it was time for Wells to be given a run of games to maybe prove once and for all whether he is actually up to it, something he has not displayed since arriving, I would have thought given your defence of Wells even you would see the value in that. As for Martin although he hasn't been great (and has been in good company in that regard) he is the only target man at the club, on Saturday Weimann playing wide looked dangerous and his crossing was good (I made mention of that on Saturday night) his short passing wasn't great but as Pearson and Rooney alluded to Martin (apart from his terrible miss) actually had a really good game and linked well especially with Weimann in his wide role and that allowed Semenyo to stretch their defence for the first 35 minutes. I wouldn't replace either of them after Saturday's performance because both had improved performances, especially given that Wells did very little of note when he came on. But for the Derby game Wells for Weimann would have been a like for like.
Ok I have answered all of your questions, I hope you understand google translate might help. Anyway now you can answer my questions.
Why did LJ not even have Palmer in his match day squad for nearly half the season before he was sacked? Why was Holden in such a hurry to allow him to move to Swansea on loan? Why after a short honeymoon period could Palmer not get a game at Swansea? and why after using Palmer quite a bit early this season has Pearson not even putting him in the match day squad? what have they all got so wrong about him?

You are funny, if they wanted to keep him I suspect we would have let him go at the time, as I have just said after the initial honeymoon period he couldn't get a game, but hey Cooper will take him to Forest if he thinks so highly of him, I doubt that we will ask for fee, even though he still has 18 months of his contract remaining, but would Palmer accept a pay cut?

I wasn’t there to know the answers to the questions you’ve asked but I’m sure there are reasons and something that would be good for fans to know.. but imo it’s not for his lack of ability..he was definitely used more under LJ than the rest.. perhaps our style of football doesn’t suit!!
You didn’t answer the question who you thought was always consistent or couldn’t you name one.. I’m sure that question was in your first language of gobbledygook!

The sooner Palmer and Wells are gone the better for everyone.
Those wages are obscene for what Bristol City FC have had out off them.

Come on LJ left him totally out of the squad for almost half a season, so LJ's, Holdens and Pearson's style and even Cooper's obviously didn't suit. Holden couldn't wait to get him out of AG and Pearson played him a lot early in the season, but hey big shout out to LJ for playing him most, until of course he didn't play him at all. There is obviously a huge problem with him that all 3 managers have identified and Cooper went off of him as well, please forgive me I would rather trust their judgement than yours.

Most consistent Bentley, Kalas, Baker, Pring, Massengo, Scott, James, Benarus, Atkinson and Williams. All have had the odd poor game and have made mistakes but have been pretty consistent, considering our overall poor form. Baker is suffering his 2nd lay off for head injury, Massengo was out for quite a while with an injury, James has looked as though he was carrying an injury 4 or 5 games before his injury, Atkinson has been injured and doesn't look fully fit and Williams injuries are well documented, none of this has helped.

I have to add I am sure that it was LJ during Palmer's long absence who publicly made comment about his training and his weight.

"Palmer began to show promise when on-loan in the second half of last season but didn’t feature much due to a lack off fitness, or at least that’s what Lee Johnson thought. LJ criticised the problem repeatedly when asked where Palmer was, with Kasey only making 2 starts in that whole time period".

First of all I wouldn't expect or care whether you trust my judgement and wasn't asking you to..It's my opinion which I'm entitled as you are and as it sits it doesn't make it wrong......even with those managers mentioned, electing for whatever reason not to play him, doesn't take away the lad has ability (I think he should be involved) and with the right manager he could be even better with the right structure & guidance...maybe he would benefit being away from the setup we currently have. That is my opinion.
As to consistent players, I would add at least Weimann and even Martin to that list for work rate alone.. again IMO

Good for you, you should always follow your dreams.

I wish I could remember the person who posted this?
"our strikers rarely score so assists will be rare too.......part of our problem up front...strikers runs....more often than not....poor to dreadful"
That doesn't sound much like consistency?

<doh> It really is like debating with trigger..You really do struggle with the game don't you?..I don't know how many times I have to explain those comments.....maybe English isn't your first language.
It has nothing to do with the individual striker's, consistency....IMO it's our tactics, when we press, we are so much better. Playing deep i.e counter attacking leads to poor "world cup passes" as you call them....maybe we watch different games!
I've cut and pasted my previous comment regarding this very slowly and in a different colour so you can understand.....maybe!
Yes it is poor runs and timings.. our strikers are used to little or no service.. that’s tactics and performance related.
A lack of creativity to the strikers leads to poor decisions.

Again you make it obvious that you have not read my posts, 'world cup passes' was constantly being used by the Robins TV summariser and ex BCFC player Chris Honor and not me for the Sheff Utd game.

So all of the 'poor to dreadful runs' by our strikers this season are purely down to tactics? you make them sound like robots who can't or are not allowed to make their own on field decisions about a part of football that relies on instinct.

There is no denying (and not for the first time this season) that the game should have been won convincingly by half time, where we totally differ is you believe that it is a conscious decision to back off in the 2nd half made by the manager, if this is the case and it is a tactic that has not worked from the very first game of the season, then Pearson should be sacked, because it would be a nonsense decision, again I know you won't like this but looking back over the past 2 years and the numerous times that we have surrendered goals from winning or drawing positions late on in games, it looks to me to be more of a symptom than a tactic.

Try not to get so angry, I am agreeing with you that IF it is a tactic then it is clearly nuts and he should be sacked, because it is clearly not working and hasn't from day one of this season, it's one thing to sit back on a 2 or 3 goal lead (whatever that looks like) my opinion IS that I believe it to be symptomatic of our decline over the past 2 years, a decline that can be traced by performances, results and inability to hold on to winning or drawing positions and again I am agreeing with you that performances, results and inability to hold on to winning or drawing positions is worse than it's ever been, the squad is in need of a serious overhaul.

So I'm clear, are you advocating this phrase? Pretty sure when a former employee of BCFC used these type of terms, such as "World Class Basics", he was absolutely hammered on here. If not, then, please ignore, I don't want to join your argument club.

Yes I believe it is a tactic being used by NP....I have been saying this for a while if you bothered to read.. It's been happening in so many games it can't be a coincidence.
Our clearing from the back often leads to the opposition regaining possession and there are too many long hopeful balls... that service to our strikers very rarely comes off...
When we press, close down, force mistakes from the opposition and play short quick passes, running in to spaces we are so much better.....control
Now the reasons for these (NP's) tactics, I'm still not sure about and I think the answers could come from what happens in January..The type of players he looks for.
RC said in his interview with 20p that our identity was to play on the front foot and press.....I've only witnessed this in 10 minute bursts and then it's sit back and allow the opposition to take control and possession.......
I think the question most are asking is, what is NP's style of play? Are his tactics used because he doesn't think the players are good enough for an alternative.
I know you don't trust my judgement.....but if that's what NP thinks......I believe he is wrong.....but that's my opinion!!

It matters not what the phrase actually is "world cup pass", "Hollywood pass" or even Pearson's take of "poor decisions". It's descriptive of what is happening in every game and has been symptomatic of our approach play for quite sometime and was the chosen phrase used by an ex professional footballer during his summarising.

The bottom line is we engineer very promising attacking positions but in and around the opponents box we seem to run out of ideas and end up over complicating and then choosing the wrong option, like Semenyo and Massengo (and I am not singling them out, because most of our players do the same on a regular basis) did in the 2nd half on Saturday in a very promising positions both instead picking out the easy pass to try to manufacture a better more dangerous position and keep possession, they both tried a lob/flick over the head of defenders that was not what was required when holding on to a 1-0 lead, those type of passes are for when we are 2 or 3 up (again whatever that looks like).

You made comment about possession stats, we could and should have been 3 up by half time and the stats were exactly the same possession wise at half time as they were at the end of the game, but the difference was Derby had not registered 1 shot on or off target during the first half. When you don't take your chances and if you keep surrendering possession with the sort of passes that we attempted from promising positions it is always going to make things more difficult than they should be.

What we lack and have lacked for quite sometime is 2 elements, one a striker with enough power and presence to get on to the end of high crosses + giving us a plan B from the bench at times but even more importantly we lack a player who can actually thread a pass into a crowded penalty area when needed, instead of running out of ideas. Although we were **** at Sheff Utd it didn't help when on the few occasions that we were in promising positions that we tried far too many "world cup passes' as Chris Honor described them, as I said the descriptive term is irrelevant.

That is my opinion and II hope that clears it up for you.

Fine, I have witnessed the same sort of performances for a long time, well before Pearson arrived we developed a habit of taking a lead from a high press or getting into a drawing position and surrendering those advantages by backing off and stopping the high press, so if it's a tactic it's one that has been used by 3 managers. That is my opinion.

Well it happened 6 times from the start of 2020 up until he was sacked. And for clarity I don't think it was a tactic even then.
