Watched the pilot of the new Superman and Lois show on iPlayer. It was a bit predictable and even though i'm a bit sick of the wall to wall superhero programmes, it was surprisingly ok to watch and i'll give the next couple of episodes a go.
who wants to watch a middle aged superman do any ****ing thing jesus. this hawkeye crap on Disney too. they cow is cry. stop milking it.
I was sick of all the nonstop comic boom superheroes a decade ago... But if the choice is middle aged superman, or that highschool teenage Spiderman... It's middle aged superman!
Anyone with thoughts on wheel of time. Article I read compared it to GoT... Can't see how... More LoTRings to me. Seen two episodes, not sure if I like it or not yet.
Watched it last Luv. Not sure it's 9.2, but I enjoyed it. Cumberbatch and Dunst excellent and New Zealand always scrubs up well.
Not sure what channel it would be on in UK, but "The Great" is one of my favourite comedies at the moment. On Hulu in the US marketed as a Hulu original, but half the actors are British so I suspect it's probably really made by one of the channels over there. Very fictional version of Catherine the greats rise to power.
Boiling Point ... Stephen Graham doing Stephen Graham as a stressed out chef, all filmed in one sequence and very good
Watched Landscapers, based on a true story of a double murder in Mansfield, which we all know is dog rough, filmed as a black comedy. Odd in parts but worth a watch. David Thewlis and Oonagh Coleman are the main stars.
Fabulous end to Succession. Each series has somehow been better than the one before. 9.5/10 And Get Back. I'm biased because I'm a Beatles fanatic, but two scenes stand out, both with McCartney: firstly, when he thinks "And then there were two" after George leaves, and John says he's not coming back either, and we see the real, deeply upset, unvarnished McCartney, for once not playing to the camera; and the genesis of Get Back the song, with Paul and George, not John, as Paul develops the chords on his bass, and a monumental tune is born. Future generations will watch this film, just like we wish we could be present as Michaelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel, and Chaucer wrote the Canterbury Tales. 11/10.
