Yep, definitions again I'd guess. The deal was probably agreed weeks ago, but then the final agreement documents would have been drawn up or at least finalised, gone too & fro, reviewed, finally signed off, etc. I'd expect that only after that's finally done would this final stuff (EFL checks, owners / directors registrations, whatever) get progressed .... which appears to be where we are now. Would now be a nice surprise if it is still this week, but looking doubtful. Well, we've waited this long, so another week or two doesn't really matter that much ... so long as it is completed nicely in advance of the window opening.
This. I got a text saying it was done, all sorted with the EFL. So presumably he meant it had all been put together and sent off. I asked about the EFL before and I was told it had already been done, guess that wasn’t the case. Still, hopefully this update puts to bed any ideas of it falling through.
I must have missed summat in reading. Who has informed everyone that it hasn't gone through the EFL yet?
Except that balls do eventually drop. There's still room for a few twists and turns in this deal yet.
You definitely don't want any twists or turns when your balls drop. Very painful and very disappointing... No a nice natural progression and all done by Boxing day
Cooper does seem well informed. Suspect that since his conversation with Acun he has been kept abreast of how the deal is progressing by either Acun directly or one of his entourage. It would be nice to think that it was Acun himself. Posters have suggested that it would be earlier than Cooper reports. Now resigned to Boxing Day. At least can stop looking for White Smoke from the Flixborough Complex (is it still there).
Except the bit where it’s done, yeah. Such are the perils of sharing information with random people, you can’t verify it. So if you trusted me, that’s on you. I just shared what I was told, given that the person feeding me the info is actively involved, I have no reason to doubt them.
I'm sure everyone who has passed on info, whispers etc. has done so in good faith. I for one, avidly await news, and can't wait for the Allams to depart, and for a new era to begin. Here's hoping for good news, soon.
Shakie must have seen this coming... Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble. that, or he was on the sauce.
Exactly, I figured it in the best interests of everybody to know what was going on, given how sensitive a subject our new ownership is. The Allam regime is over, they have been deposed, long live Acun. Until we don't sign a striker and panic buy two goalkeepers in January.
