That it wasn't a 'done deal' and the paperwork was still at the EFL...As opposed to others saying it was a 'done deal'?
I don't know why you're all getting excited. The world ends at Christmas anyway, it's all over tiktok and twitter.
Would that be Christmas Day specifically? I'm in the process of sorting out a big shopping list and boxing day is normally a family buffet at mine(hot and cold, meat eaters or vegans).. If boxing day is off then I'd rather know now before buying.
I'm not planning on saving money...I'm planning on not going to work, buying copious amounts of alcohol and watching tv for 19 days
Another factor worth considering. If the deal isn't done before the transfer window is opened there could be another delay. Otherwise we will have a situation we had when the Dia family were close on a deal and the delay in signing players was a factor in us getting relegated later that season.
Maybe the 'Boxing Day Match Ticket Offer' was a big clue after all? I've been hoping it was earlier, but doesn't look like that's going to be the case.
I suspect the press are probably the last to be told at the minute, so the deal could very much already be done.
The HDM/Baz Cooper seem to be well informed. They're quoting a specific person submitting specific paperwork on a specific day last week. I don't want to call into doubt the in the knowers, but it's far more detail than they've been able to give. I believed that the deal was done and just waiting to be announced for a week or so, but it now really doesn't look like that's the case.
Beginning of November, by Birmingham, by Bristol, now by Blackburn. How about we wait and see after all it's only 24 hours. TWT as always.
I guess it was all about definitions. Deal done may well simply have been that the sale was agreed, just then all the final paperwork & necessaries to catch up. Seems that's the case.
