Joelinton is really starting to grow on me, where was this player before? He's definitely worth no where near what we paid, but he's starting to become one of the most consistent players on the ball. What the **** is this? Seriously. Always said he had potential.... :p

I am hopeful we can stay up. We may have only one win, but all those draws don't count for nothing.

I have a feeling over christmas we'll get a win against a big team. I just feel it.

I am also very happy that our fullbacks seems to be making our wings a bit more solid most of the time.

    Ratings -

    Dubravka - 7 - Mostly solid.

Manquillo - 6.5 - I enjoy seeing him play, but at times he goes forward without thinking and almost cost us a goal early.

Lascelles - 7.5 - I thought he was very solid against Burnley. Won a lot in the air. Apart from a few risky advances, I thought he was solid at CB. He is a aerial threat and commander, to make up for his lesser ability on the ball compared to the likes of Schar and Fernandez

    Schar - 7 - Pretty solid

Lewis - 7 - I like his pace. He was pretty good at the back.

Shelvey - 7 - Good performance and is becoming more of a goal threat.

Willock - 6.5 - Good work rate and challenging, is starting to get into those positions more often to be a bit more of a goal threat, we just needs time to find his place.

ASM - 8 - Easy MOTM. Create some good opportunities and was a threat in both halfs of the game.

Joelinton - 7 - Not as good as previous game, was a bit anonymous for a little while, but had his good periods of the game.

Almiron - 6.5 - Can't justify giving him any higher. He works his arse off, his defending is sometimes great, but has been making a lot of rash challenges for no reason, and is mostly piss poor in the final third. I will give him a 6 for his work rate and defensive cover. He did make a decent run in behind at one point, but couldn't finish.

Wilson - 7.5 - Good runs, work rate and cracking goal.

Didn’t see the whole game but from what I saw I wouldn’t rate St Maximin that highly. He is great to watch but often tries running with the ball in positions when he gets caught and puts us in a dangerous position. Shelvey and Willock actually look like an energetic midfield pairing mainly because Shelvey is playing higher up the pitch and Willock’s work rate is excellent.

Didn’t think the performance overall was that good but its 3pts so who cares!

Hopefully we can improve against Leicester - they are struggling at centre back and think Wilson and ASM can cause them problems.

ASM?? Can't get that at all. I thought he was fairly poor and struggled again largely. I think he looks a bit jaded.

I thought we worked hard. I'd have probably went Big Joe again for MOTM just simply on the work he put in. I thought we 6's or 7's across the board. I don't think anyone had a bad game, but I didn't think anyone was great either. I thought Lascelles did quite well for all I don't want him in the team. He won some important ball aerially.

Dogged performance and one that was required given our situation. Sometimes you just have to find a way to win.

You what? ASM created chances and wriggled his way through quite a few times.

Regarding ASM i thought this was his best game so far in terms of decision making.

There was 2/3 occasions where he found a nice pass to someone in space where he previously would have shot.

Yes there were other times where he could had done this and chose not to, but it was a big improvement to usually and a ‘less selfish’ performance shall we say.

Agreed in the main bar ASM - was better this week but I wouldn't have had him in my top 3 performances, thought him and Miggy offered similar amounts in various and different ways (Big Joe, Lascelles and Wilson for me).

I do highly agree with Lascelles - gets a lot of grief but thought he was fantastic on Saturday, proper captains performance and also Eddie did well with the changes and switch of formation at the right times (would have liked him to use the third sub just to kill the game but we got the win so I'll let him off).

I actually thought Manquillo was outstanding and arguably motm although almiron was helping out so much down that side too.

I'd rate Joelinton higher and ASM lower.

Joelinton was dominating midfield, making space, holding play up and controlling everything.

ASM still seems to want to go on mazy runs every time he has the ball and can be a liability sometimes.

You know what. Joelinton is more suited to midfield in some respects. His energy levels are amazing.

Only way ASM gets an 8 is to people who watched MOTD highlights. I thought he was ****, then seen highlights and they made him look like he had a blinder.

    So let's get this straight

You're saying that a man who bleeds black and white and said this in an actual interview for a job in the NHS is basing his ratings on MoTD?

......In essence I concur. No way was he at the game or watching it live for the full 90 minutes and I therefore come to the conclusion he either watched MOTD or the 3 minute highlight package the club released on Twitter. If he was at the game, he was pissed up and somehow fell asleep.

Nah I watched the game. Some of our best chances came from ASM runs. Even if he's quiet most of the game, he only needs 10-20 minutes to change a game. He created some great chances.

Why the **** were Lewis and Schar ever dropped by that fat headed mong?

Ritchie was there and I think he's a top servant of the club, but he's at the age were he's more than happy to come off the bench and lend a hand.

Bruce would have 55 year old on the pitch if he could.
