Prediction League Brian's Predictions League Table

I've made a complete balls up of this NZ and will now have to do the whole table again because I checked it up against the table from the week previous to the last one. The new table will be out shortly !

I finally got there in the end ! It should have been relatively simple and logical to add this weeks totals onto the last table - but I managed an almighty cock up and added them to the wrong week's table. Now we have the 'real' table as a result of lots of groaning at my end. Some changes in the top six this week as a result of the highest score going to Simon and Chris (115 and 114 respectively). Chris's score was all the more impressive in that he scored on no less than 9 of his 10 tips. Just a reminder that there is a bonus of 50 extra points for any tipper who scores on all 10 in one week - this is the closest anyone has come so far. Third highest of the round was Yorkie with 91. NZ still holds onto the lead with a gap of just under 40 ahead of Chris. ​

A week of fairly moderate scores on here. Joint highest were by NZHorn and by Frenchie. NZ extended his lead at the top and Frenchie moved into third. it really is difficult to predict the impact of managerial changes, with some making an instant impact and others not. As a result nobody picked up points on the Chelsea v Man Utd game (though 1-1 is the most common result in the Premier League). That Rangnick would make such a quick difference wasn't such a big surprise to Thomas Tuchel or Jürgen Klopp who know him well. For the Horns it was an open game and, despite the result better on the eye than some of the stuff we have seen. We now move onto games against Chelsea and Man City where we can place Pep's job in jeopardy as we did his cross town rival. ​

Cologne, is there a future predicting thread this season? I will be going on my summer holiday soon and may not be able to predict for each week.

 

I'll set one up today NZ. Since the Corona thing started I've been doing this on a weekly basis but I can change that now.

A very high scoring round for us on here, but pride of place goes to Charlie with a phenomenal score of 177. This moves him from 14th up to 8th. There were 3 other 100+ scores by Mark (122) and by Simon and Mrs Fez. Mrs Fez's other half also did well with 99. NZ is showing little indication of slacking up on the pace at the moment and has increased his lead at the top. We have to be on the ball next week because the Horns are playing on the friday night and I don't want late tippers to be disadvantaged by this.​

Thanks Cologne, can't believe I'm in the top 10, once again thank you for running the league and taking it over from Luther. Such a long time ago, I know I don't post too much but I love reading all the banter and feel like part of a family.

Another miserable weekend for the Horns of looking as if they were afraid of the ball. Tipping is becoming very difficult in that we never know which version of the Horns are going to turn up. Highest of the round this time was by Mrs Andy with 97 (sorry Andy ). Both our Mark and him from the BBC did well - with our Mark moving up into third. Yorkie has also moved up well going into second, though NZ shows little sign of easing up. My tipping is such that if I tip 2-0 you can be 99% certain it will result in 3-0 or 1-0 ! ​

Our mini round produced a major change in the top half of the table with Charlie leapfrogging from 11th up to 3rd with a score of 79. This might not appear a massive score but based on only 4 matches it's impressive. Pride of place this week goes to JT Bodbo with a score of 95 also moving him up 4 places. Yorkie closed a little on NZ with a good score. Very tight between 3rd and 8th place with only fifteen points between them. In case of confusion any jokers placed on the first five postponed matches automatically moved onto the next valid match on the list - in this case Leeds Utd v Arsenal. The next round (Boxing Day) sees a very large number of reserve matches - I hope it won't be necessary to use many of them. We'll see what the Premiership clubs decide on monday. ​
