One stand out thing for me today was Moura. Not just his goal, but he was actually passing the ball today. I would be interested in a comparison of his pass stats today compared to mid-week.

Doherty is much more attack minded than Tanganga and made some difference down the right flank. Sess obviously needs more game time.

Kane did much better today although he didn't score - the goals will come.

Our attempts on target are already improving.

Moura's goal was fantastic but the build up to Son's goal was great too.

The 3 at the back is working for now and actually suits the players. Dier is certainly more competent in a 3 rather than a 2.

    Another 3 points...on we go.

Take that all day long. Stopped by the pub for a few before and after the game, well deserved if I do say so myself.

Loved that Conte heard us in the south stand, twice he applauded us after we sung his name. He’s the most popular guy at the club at the moment.

Skipp yet again superb, as was Davies (again). Tanganga the only player to struggle today but he’s not a RWB and that was really telling.

First half was a bit meh (Lucas’ goal aside!) but second half we controlled it nicely again similarly to Brentford. Had to go for a piss on about 65 mins, timed it perfectly as the second I got back to my seat Sanchez walloped in it.

    Antoniooooooo!

Pass map time - although, obviously, it doesn't tell much of a story due to Reguilon getting subbed off early

Obviously this doesn't say too much useful about the whole match due to Sessegnon not existing, meaning we can't see the traffic to and from the left flank for most of the game, but once again you can see the various combinations working together well, not just the established Dier/Hojbjerg/Davies combination but several others, most obviously Hojbjerg/Skipp/Moura and Davies/Hojbjerg/Son - and once more we see direct balls from Sanchez to Lucas, just as we did against Brentford, so it's obviously a tactical choice that likely means he's the Cahill in our back three (which is an odd-sounding sentence, I know)

But once more, the Norwich passmap is more interesting, because it looks remarkably similar to Brentford's the other night

Once again their midfield is pinned back and unable to get the ball towards their forwards, and once again their FBs are getting the ball but aren't able to get into more dangerous positions and certainly not create anything from wide, so there's a lot of passing into the centre to try and recycle only for the team to be as good at recycling as the Tories are as good at following their own lockdown advice

Personally what I'm interested to see, again like the Brentford match, is passmaps of the first and second halves, as both matches saw us play rope-a-dope in the first half looking to draw them in and hit them on the break, while in the second we started pressing them into errors

I listened to TalkShite for about 40 mins in the car this morning and they didn't mention the Lucas goal once. Of course this may not mean anything as I may have missed it, but I suspect that if Salah or Ronaldo had scored it, you would be hearing a lot more about it. And you would not be able to go through 40 minutes the next day without hearing about it. They did feature it on MOTD2 yesterday of course, but again I think it would have been a much more major event if one of the usual suspects had scored it (or even Rooney back in the day). Yes it is about my general rage against the favoured teams, but also it's about one of the best goals of the season, maybe not getting the recognition it deserved because 'it wasn't scored by the right person'. Let's see how it does on the next Goal of the Month.

I haven't seen the goal or listened to TS but with Jamie O'Hara presenting I'm surprised he didn't talk about it.

Switched on Ceefax (or whatever they call it) this morning, and for Sunday's reports they had Man Utd's match...and nothing else

Nice to know that our match didn't exist

Ours was 4th in the running order on MOTD2. Again possibly downgrading the impact of the goal.

And in reply to Treble, I was listening before Jamie O'H came on, so I don't know what he said, he may well have mentioned it.

Skippy won MOTM again, back to back games. ****ing love this lad, I really do. His ceiling is crazy and I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets an England call up within the next year or so.

The next Parker/ Sandro/ Wanyama and he’s from our academy.

Also wouldn’t be surprised if Levy looks at doubling/ tripling his wages soon, currently on £25k a week I believe which for a Premier League footballer nowadays is probably the equivalent to minimum wage to us normal folk.

On a non-Spurs note, despite being part of a defence that conceded three I thought former target, Max Aarons, looked pretty decent. Seems to have bulked up a little bit but not enough at the expense of his speed and athleticism.

I felt we sorely missed Emerson yesterday, Tanganga isn’t a RWB and whilst Doherty wasn’t terrible when he came on he’s just not a long term option for the club and won’t knock Emerson of his perch.

Time to revisit a deal for Aarons? Young, English, HG, knows the Prem, would probably do well in a RWB role under Conte and could grow into a very good player and create a solid rivalry with Emerson… If Norwich go down again which currently looks likely, I think there could be an astute deal to be made.

Definitely a player I'd love to see at Spurs. My first choice remains Tariq Lamptey though as I think he has more intelligence to his game (although fitness record is dubious plus he's contracted until 2025 so would cost an absolute fortune).

If the Norwich official media platforms have declared
Skipp as MOTM yesterday, I am declaring "fortification" :)

That slide, touch, pass thing is very distinctive and unusual. Playing brilliantly. <applause>

The bigger subject on MOTD 2 was Kane missing the net , a much better subject for them than Lucas's peach of a goal

Sky highlights and our highlights, plus Moura's goal from multiple angles:

Why are both commentators confused at Krul missing the Son free-kick that Davies put wide?
"They all miss it", says Efan Ekoku (possibly). No, they don't. Clearly comes off Gibson's head.

It's good to see Conte's system works at least somewhat when the players sit back. Sitting back will be necessary in periods of fixture congestion. My worry is that the pressing will prove to be the exception rather than the rule.

That said, the team continues to look much better. It's had an over 2 expected goals the last three games, after not hitting that mark the entire year. The formula of tight organization at the back plus a rapid(-ish) buildup looks like a good one, and one that suits Spurs. It's true Norwich should have had a goal early, and that they created more chances than Brentford. Spurs were still fairly comfortably the better team, and could have had a couple more.

That said, before we build a statue of Conte we should remember that Mourinho and Nuno (and for that matter Mason) all got off to fast starts. The question is whether the improvement will last longer than the new manager bounce. There are reasons to think it will, but we'll have to see.

Lucas and Skipp stood out. I think Lucas's goal is a serious goal of the year candidate, since it had three remarkable things about it:
    1. great dribbling
    2. excellent passing sequence
    3. great shot.

The most remarkable thing about Lucas right now isn't his wonder goal, though. It's that he leads Spurs in winning aerial duels, and is in the top 30 in the league, all four foot ten of him.
