I will say mate I was talking to a lad that works on the academy ground staff( I’ve known him years) and he says the atmosphere there is class with the players and manager. So with regards to losing the dressing room rumours I was pleased to hear that he hasn’t.

5 or 6 injuries to key players will cause that at most squads (except Ipswich who signed 11 players for each position of course!)

Aye I get that but our bench looked mint on paper but we aren’t showing that at the moment. Perhaps we were spoiled with good football at the start of the season, if we had the same points but from hard fought ground out wins we’d probably think that’s the way to get out of this league.

He thinks he’s cleverer than he is. How is the team supposed to get settled when we’re ****ing about with different formations every 45 minutes and players are shifted about into different positions ad infinitum? We’re nearly halfway through the season now man.

Oh ffs i was watching that at the end of the game and thought nothing of it.
Thought this was later on like the tit going on at Johnson outside the ground, or that other fanny giving Coleman shìt ffs.

What's the matter with some of these raging fannies in this day and age for fook sake.
    Get a fooking grip man.
Johnson shouldn't of reacted but to me just shows he's bothered.

If that had of been Roy Keane most would of thought "gerrin keano lad".

    Well "gerrin Johnson",
Fan needs to grow a pair of bollocks ffs and stop crying like a tart. I suppose he'd be crying with sand in his vagina if some gadgy told him he was shìt at his job.

Team isn't settled due to injuries and he's trying to shuffle the pack.

If he’d left everyone where they played the first half, we’d have lost yesterday. The changes he made helped us improve massively in the second half. Oxford created nothing all game despite being the better side first half (football wise anyhow). I agree about the multiple positions, but I’m not sure what he can do when we have soo many key players injured

So as I wasn't there, am I correct in saying, you reckon tinkerman tinkered with a good result in the 2nd half?

An interesting and thought provoking table not least about the debate of LJs management. A good transfer window will be most helpful.

Definitely need a striker, also 'Jack' scored a 95th minute winner for Harrogate at Portsmouth yesterday. I cannot find a video of it?

I presume the 3 full backs will be back playing shortly, so we should not need strengthening there. We have plenty of CBs, especially with Arby X, making a comeback. Neil is as good as you get in L1 in midfield. If we have him and a couple others around him... unless someone outstanding is available who would walk straight into the side, not bothered...but Alves can go back.

So strikers... and wingers as I am not sure how fit Aiden Mcgeady is going to be for the 2nd half of the season. Also I am not a Gooch fan, we must have better wing backs.

Is it too simple or should we start the next game with the players and formation that started the second half?

I noted that we lost possession from almost every throw in during the first half but retained possession from almost every second half throw in.

Bailey Wright looked good at RB.

I dont think LJ did much wrong yesterday tbh, he is not as pro-active as I would like and over complicates matters yes, but we are where we are, and with 9 or 10 first team players out injured its testament to how much stronger the club is now than say 12 months ago, a half decent window in January, and with a bit of luck along the way, we should go up this year, hopefully without the play-off lottery. As for the V sign it was no big deal imo., and overblown by the media.
And yes I would like to see the team that ended the game yesterday start the next one , with the proviso that Pritchard / AoB substitution is reversed.

    I agree with you.

First half Oxford exploited the gaps between our wingbacks and centre backs with angled balls that split them and gave their wide men the opportunity to get the ball into our box or win corners. I thought we coped well with their threat but it made them look much better than they actually are.

Johnson changed it from a three to a four at half time and we looked very good, we bossed it second half and were unlucky not to come away with all three points.

Well done to Johnson for spotting the weakness and fixing it even though I have read loads of times he has no plan B :emoticon-0105-wink:

Looking at the highlights Gooch starts the move when Stewart then Winchester should've hit the target.

He then plays the ball up to Stewart when Pritchard goes through and should do better.

Next he collects the rebound from the free kick, beats a defender and should get a corner from the shot the keeper palms over.

As the game's ending he beats a man and puts in a great cross that no one attacks.

He was MOTM, for many people last week, and every manager we have plays him ...

... unfortunately he's played in 5 different positions, 2 yesterday alone.

Many wanted rid of Watmore but I'd bet some would take him back now he's been coached into playing better.

Gooch frustrates the life out of me but I wouldn't want to lose him, especially with our current injuries.
