Backing speakman's opinion as far as I can tell. They definitely think giving him this season should lead to promotion. If that looks unlikely he'll be gone. I hope he gets it right mind, ideally we can keep someone and have success
That's pretty difficult to prove though isn't it. SD was the majority shareholder so he made decisions on what got spent.
Well they mentioned at the meeting that I attended that the long term plan had to be alongside the short term goal of going up. But it wasn't on the minutes and we've been told that stuff not on the minutes can't be shared any more. But the same was communicated at the last meeting and one of the RAWA board has confirmed it was said, so I'm not breaking any confidences now. The goal for this season is promotion. There's a long term project but they aren't daft enough to think failure this season can be tolerated
Are RAWA the same ****ers that put out that insulting statement/'welcome' when KLD first came to the club? I'd love the club to release a statement saying that they're no longer recognising or willing to engage with RAWA.
My moneys on the mama. Brother is already a director and if the Saudis are looking at buying Marseille then she'll be bored with nothing to do
I'm sorry but RAWA are not some lose affiliation of fans, it is a properly constituted Trust with a legal obligation to its membership. As such I don't believe they are permitted to leave anything they have discussed at meetings out of minutes circulated to the members. The only way around this is for any such confidential briefing to be held before the meeting is joined or after the meeting has adjourned. Am I wrong in this?
I think it's more just the case that any set of minutes are going to be a summation of discussions, obviously there will always be bits that aren't captured in the minutes for whatever reason. Not normally key stuff like, but in a three hour meeting there's always comments that don't make it into the final minutes. Previously it seemed to be accepted that those present would comment on the full meeting, whether minuted or not. When I attended that had changed. Not going to say who complained about it, but basically those attending were told not to mention anything that wasn't on the minutes. At the one I went to the minutes did state that the long term project couldn't be at the expense of achieving short term goals, but it didn't detail what those goals were. I'm pretty sure it was mentioned that promotion this season was the expected short term goal but it wasn't minuted as such so I couldn't mention it. But now it's been mentioned by others from RAWA I won't get wrong for saying it!
To be honest I haven't read through everything post on this thread but my take is KLD has missed an opportunity here. For so long we have had smoke and mirrors. I get that he's only in his early twenties but I feel he needs to run the club with his 'big boy' pants on. This issue of ownership is not going away so why not be up front and explain precisely to the fans exactly what is the position of ownership. He has to remember he needs the support of the fans......he has to also remember in the game of football there is a very thin line to walk on keeping your fan base on board. While we are somewhat near the top there is less heat on the ownership of the club but if this changes then he better be ready for might come. He must have known what he was walking into and the profile of Donald, Methven and Sartori still having a high profile with the club will understandably alienate the fans. Missed chance on this one current statement in my opinion....yes.....I just hope he knows the f*ck what he is doing going forward.
To be fair mate he has, he's the owner and has total control with minority shareholders It's possible he's not able to divulge private information at this point. I believe he will but, in the meantime, we shouldn't get too upset imo. I guess it's a case of once bitten, twice shy with us.
