If you noticed Syd, I wasn't replying directly to you .... so don't you get into a twist!! There's a few comments flying around from several people. Before you know it, silly talk starts being taken as FACT by the masses. It's not the start we want with our new owner.
As I was the one who brought up the notion in this thread, I think at least in part you were responding to me, no? The comments flying around from several people are all responding to the same rumour that I saw.
Ticketing help please! I have a match card. I've bought tickets for myself for the odd game. No problem Am I correct in thinking that if I want to take others with me, for example for the first match (and then who knows after that), that there are only really 2 options: 1. I (or they) have to set accounts up and then register as 'family & friends' so that can buy the tickets and make sure we are sat together etc. or 2. Wait literally until match day and then buy them over the phone or in person at the ground (the 3rd 'match day' option appears to simply re-direct you to the on-line booking system which means effectively doing 1 above, so isn't a different option). Meaning, for casual or one-off attenders, they have to either set up an account online (likely too much hassle) or else phone on match day (and not before) and pick it up at the ground, or else get to the ground early to buy a ticket in Tiger Leisure? I think that's what the OWS is saying, but would be grateful for correction or confirmation. IF I have it correct, it seems more difficult than it should be to buy tickets ahead of a game for casual / one-off attenders? Why can't their be say a simple 'guest' log on / option that allows you to book a ticket / tickets several days in advance (accepting that it woudn't be at a discounted rate as for members / registereds)?
How long have you had a match card for? Are you sure they're still valid? I thought they weren't any more. Anyway, why can't you just buy a group of tickets in the same place under one login? I'm sure I know people who've done that this season.
Apologies, rather than match card I should have said customer number / account (which is from my earlier match card). It is still valid & working. So, does that mean that I can add say 3 tickets using my log in and allocate them all to myself? I can see that it tries to 'steer' you toward setting the other 2 tickets up for 'friends & family' accounts (text says 'Please ensure that you allocate each ticket you are purchasing to a separate Customer Number. This will ensure that each Customer Number has the correct purchase history. To Link Friends and Family to your account please click here'), but maybe it is ok to ignore that 'steer' and just proceed with all 3 simply allocated to myself (if that makes sense)?
Fine example of how important it is for businesses to make it easy for customers to buy things from them!
Good god, is it really that hard to get tickets. This is for a stadium that is at most a third full. Please Mister new owner, make it simple to go to a game as a one off.
Yeah you can buy them and just assign them all to yourself. The reason it encourages you to assign them each to the correct person is so that those people each have it appear on their history as having attended that game, meaning come May when we're all fighting for playoff final and FA cup final tickets, they'll be able to show that they've attended previous matches.
That was the most insulting campaign they ever did. After 50yrs supporting alongside my Dad 70+ years, they tell us to 'EARN YOUR STRIPES'. Make sure and **** off this time Allams
Don’t all successful businesses suggest to potential customers that they might not really good enough to buy their products?
If people don’t want the hassle of registering an account, just go to the ticket office, buy tickets, go into the ground and watch the game. It’s really not that difficult.
It isn't presumably (although I've never tried it) but it would be more useful if the club activerley told people you could do that!
They want people to buy tickets online, even without actively promoting match day ticket sales, there can be quite a long queue of people doing so (generally all turning up less than ten minutes before kick off). There’s plenty that’s **** about the club at the moment, I just don’t think being able to get tickets for a game is a one of them.
I live on kingswood, bransholme is always the same, never changes, in fact you could go abroad for 5 years and it would still be the same when you got back, except the kids standing on street corners would probably be stealing cars by then.. It’s actually a really great place live kingswood I mean where could you have bingo, bowling, Asda and arsholes on your door step !!!!!!! The polish lady across the road have a beautiful one but that’s another story?????
Got mine out “ Norman is like a bull in a China shop “ took me 20 years to work out what she meant.. lol
I agree that it's easy enough to buy, but they obviously need to make the online experience a bit clearer. That's evident from the confused state GFAW found himself in.
