Either he hasn't got a clue how to set them up, or he's trying to show us all how clever he is by tinkering all the time Given our injury problems, he needs to choose a formation, stick to it and work on the players who are being asked to play out of position. 2nd half was such a huge improvement today - we had so many problems in the 1st half with that ****ing crazy tactic of shifting between a back 3 and a back 4. The players had no clue where they were supposed to be
When we were able to outscore teams it wasn't an issue. Goals have dried up and it's making our inability to defend even more stark If today's game was played in September, we win 3-1
We play very well as a team, as the goal showed, but rarely for the entire game ... ... and if we're two points off top, while being absolutely pathetic, a slight improvement shouldn't be beyond us. Perhaps the return of Cirkin, McGeady, Hume, O'Nien, Evans, Huggins, etc, might help.
Squad Situation: If possible I'd sell Burge, O'Brien and Evans. I'd also send Alves back to West Ham as he's a waste of a loan. Bring Diamond and Hawkes back plus add Xhemajli to the 1st team squad. We need a new right back, 2 central midfielders, at least 1 winger and a striker: Hoffmann Patterson Huggins Wright Doyle Cirkin New Signing Flanagan Xhemajli Hume Neil Winchester New Signing New Signing Gooch Pritchard New Signing Dajaku Embleton McGeady Stewart Broadhead New Signing Ideally I'd like Broadhead in the side regardless, but using the formation that is our strongest he maybe doesn't get in, unless we play him wide
Agree. I think he offers absolutely nothing on the pitch and his lack of fitness makes him a complete waste of a shirt
I think we will be busy in Jan. Definitely more than 2-3 ins and outs. It will be more like 6ish in and 3ish out imo like you say.
My ratings from today: Hoffmann 6 - Had nothing to do all game. Couple of iffy kicks and would like to see him command his 6 yard box a bit more when the crosses are coming in Wright 7 - Best game for a while. Whether it was as right side of a 3 or as a conventional right back he looked comfortable Flanagan 7 - Had some decent scraps and didn't let the team down. Only issues come when he thinks he's a footballer and starts spraying passes about Doyle 8 - Outstanding 1st half in an unnatural position. The lad oozes confidence and is a big personality on the pitch. Was giving Dajaku pelters Gooch 5 - Bloody frustrating. Over plays it too much and cost us the points today with his theatrical attempt to win a free kick when he could have just cleared it Neil 7 - The lad looks good every time I see him. Shows for the ball and has absolute courage on the ball, Isn't perfect but a shining light Winchester 7 - Getting better and better with each passing week. Should have scored though Pritchard 6 - Putting in some decent performances but seemed to want that extra touch too often. Dajaku 5 - Odd one. Scored a good goal but first half performance was a joke, albeit in an unnatural position. Jury very much out on this one Broadhead 6 - Looks very confident on the ball and was (again) unlucky in front of goal. Stewart 6 - Needs a goal. His link up play was (as always) very good but seems to have lost confidence in front of goal Subs: Embleton 7 - best display in a while. Looked hungry and fired up. Few wild shots when he could have passed but would like to see more of this version of him O'Brien 5 - Did nowt. Pointless sub Johnson 5 - picked the wrong team at the start but had the balls to change it
Ok mate I’m not gonna argue with you or anyone else that’s happy with today’s performance. I think we were crap. I’ve said before I’ve always been biased as **** about us but I’m gone now, Im sick as ****. whether it’s justified or not I’m pissed right off and I have no confidence about going up.I’ll be there next season whichever league we’re in but I think we’re **** . I enjoy the crack on here mate but I’m narked to **** with the team.
