It’s just my opinion sorry, I said at the start of this exchange that I felt your question was disingenuous as all you wanted to do was deny the existence of racism in this country. Something you do regularly on here. You’re quite welcome to that opinion btw, but I don’t think you’ve any genuine interest in advancing your understanding of the issue, which is why I said what I said. If I’ve got you wrong then I’m sure my opinion will alter as you prove me so.

Its leader, prime minister Mark Rutte will likely lead his fourth consecutive cabinet and his nearest rival, Geert Wilders, who wants to ban the Koran and deport Muslims, is also set to gain seats.

I first moved to Amsterdam from the UK in 2004, and have lived here on and off with my Dutch partner ever since. I’ve often wondered “wtf is going on in this country?” With the election looming, I decided to find out.

I have never said there is no racism in this country. Your example highlights the difference. The person selecting the CVs had a racial bias but that doesn't mean the company was institutionally biased.
There are racists on both sides but kids growing up now do not have a bias unless the schools indoctrinate them or, less likely, their parents do.

This board has a really bad name from what I've read so visitors come on here with an agenda. We could both read the same words and see them differently.
It does get nasty onnthis thread. Some of it goes way too far but I can filter out the decent stuff so I read it. It's interesting sometimes.

 

I see a lot of the usual culprits have been on looking to be offended. I don't want to spend my time any more giving explanations to the dumb as they only hear what they want cut out all of your words looking for a single point they can be offended by, just to argue

 

Virtue signaller is a nonsense term imo that was originally created by some right wing hack from the Spectator iirc.
It’s now used as a derogatory term. As an example, you’re a virtue signaller if you show compassion or empathy for asylum seekers, and you don’t have one living in your spare room, which is patently ludicrous and merely intended to stifle debate. I put it in the same envelope as the ludicrous use of the word ‘woke’ continually, to anyone who gives a toss about their fellow humans in any context it seems. The irony of that, being the modern day history of that word and it’s actual definition.

 

The country is 86% white...why would there not be a group of just white fellas ? Would it possibly not be the same in other countries that have s majority of the same race

Actually I agree. If I was a black guy trying to make ends meet, it would really piss me off watching some middle class white University Student being interviewed on the news about how tough it is being a black kids growing up.

 

But no mention of the fraud committed entering a false document , as if the company had done due diligence as they would they would have found the author didn't exist so no interview I call bull **** on that outright lie

 

I also watched a Documentary a few years ago about the amount of money laundering that goes through the Netherlands on its way to offshore tax havens.

 

If they’d knocked back an applicant purely on the basis of him being brown, then it’s hardly a leap to suggest it’d likely happened before. An accusation that would be hard to deny based on the fact that they were all white and had now been prosecuted for racial discrimination.

 

If you look at the most racist list it doesn't include China which is openly racist or Argentina which is proud to be racist.
