Seems MM wants to bring in some preimership class at last. Manchester Unitedâs Mame Biram Diouf is wanted on loan by Cardiff. The Senegalese striker - who was on loan at Blackburn last season - can leave Old Trafford in search of first team action, as his chances are so limited in Sir Alex Fergusonâs all-star attack. Cardiff are keen on taking him into the Championship, but United are looking for the Welsh club to pay half his wages â around £14,000 a week. Defender, or change in back four personnel needed. In the last four games we have conceded: 2, 2, 4, 3. We can't go on like this! Something is badly wrong to leak 11 goals in four games. On average we have to score four goals a game - and we still might not win!
didnt pull up any trees at blackburn but thats the premiership and we're in the championship so i think he could have something about him - fergie paid decent money for him i seem to remember and he's highly regarded - though he wont get a sniff of first team action this year due to the form of other united strikers. by the way, whats the source for this story?
Got the impression watching the game today we gave away too many balls aimlessly, from throw ins and some terrible passing in midfield, regarding the crux of this thread my personal views are, I half agree, as the defence and midfield need sorting out. Although, I thought Whits and McPhail as a collective added some well needed flair, but can't fathom out why for all our so called "improvement" with our defence midfield and our never stop chasing running ethic, we are leaking in goals at an alarming rate. Also, although it was good to see 5 goals go in albeit against a poor Barnsley team I still firmly believe Earnie, Joe or Rudy are not the answer, but Miller looked like he was on the cusp of hitting some form. Earnie is not the player we saw in the past when he was with Cardiff and Rudy and Joe are great players for the future, but in my opinion the real rewards of thier talent won't come to fruition until at least another two seasons. They are still coming to terms with the rigours of the championship, so I certainly aggree with the addressing of the defence, but also the need to sort out the Striker situation .
Interesting that we think Joe and RUdy are players for the future when Derby started with a 15 year old today. With Miller injured again, it might force our hand.
I think Diouf could be an excellent addition, in 2009 playing in a settled side (Molde) he scored 24 goals in 27 appearances, could be a 20+ goal player in the championship but I would still like to see a decent fast wingman as well.
