Agreed. And for that reason, the table is largely irrelevant until about February or March, That was a cracking game. Really entertaining from both sides and no one preformed badly. Not that bothered about the result. Not that bothered about the run we're on which some people say is half decent and others say is relegation form. Not that bothered that the stats show we do something worse than everyone else between 60 and 70 minutes.

I just like the style of football, the effort, the confidence and the passion that comes from both on the pitch and around it. Keep it up and we'll finish the season comfortably mid table. Maybe even higher.

I thought we were the better team, but they had the better chances. So a draw is fair.

JWP was easily my Saints man of the first half. But he faded in the second half, so across the full game I give it to Che. (But the best player on the pitch was Maddison, that laughable pass aside.)

    We're 16th and yet, points wise we're closer to 7th than 18th.

16th in wage spending = 16th in the table. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

Sounds about right but where did these numbers come from? Who are below us? The three promoted sides and Burnley ?

We've actually been far, far above that in wage bill. Which has been part of the paradox of how we ended up in such desperate financial straits: we are very frugal on transfer fees, but pay reasonably good wages, which results in a lot of not-that-good players making PL-average wages.

In 2019-20, we were 17th in revenues, and 11th in wages. It's a real problem!

Is the Swiss Ramble credible? Not saying that’s wrong but seen other people laughing at it when it’s been used as a source

All of his data is taken straight from the accounts of the teams, which are publicly available. You don't need to be ITK to know any of the financials, you just need to be crazy enough to spend hours wading through dense accountant-ese on the Companies House site.

So, as an example, Swiss Ramble lists our revenues as £127m, which appears to just be the turnover listed in our accounts, plus what our accounts list as "other operating income":

And our wages as £114m, which matches what is in our accounts (namely, that our wage bill totaled 90% of our turnover):

Be interesting to see if this has improved for 21-22 having offloaded A few and might have reduced wages when Hoedt & Carrillo went ... and Ings?

Decent game. Glad we didn’t fade completely second half as this has been an issue. Leicester are a better side, but that wasn’t glaring yesterday. As others have said, close to clicking and being that ‘good’ side, but ideally, we don’t want to be saying that for the whole of the season!

Entertaining game & I think we just about deserved a draw but really should have been blown away by Vardy. McCarthy had a strange game! Poor parry for 1st goal & although not entirely at fault for 2nd I’m sure he knows he should have done better. His save from Barnes was sublime & got us the point - that goes in & we would have lost. Good atmosphere & crowd really tried in last 20mins to give Saints a little extra :emoticon-0148-yes: Need to follow up with another good performance Saturday now. Forgot to mention; Tella was wonderful. Speed, aggression, great positioning. AA …. shame but enough said.

The Times a little bit harsh on Forster this morning, I thought. Not sure he could have done much more about it from the bench...

Entertaining game. Result was probably fair, although l though we might lose after the Fox's scored their second. Good performances, with the exception of Armstrong who was very poor and McCarthy; could have done better on their first goal and got beaten at his near post on the second.

Worst performance of the night goes to the ref who, at times, appeared utterly clueless.

Pleased with the point as l thought we might have got less before the start.
