Both a good but very disappointing first half. Good because we dominated most of it and were playing some sublime football at times, disappointing because it's 2-1 when we could have easily had the game wron already.

We'll just have to ****ing smash'em in the second half

 

Well we should be out of sight tbh. Only got ourselves to blame that we’ve let them get back into it and then got the crowd back on their side.

Need to not do anything stupid, take sting out the game and get a 3rd early on to stop any encouragement.

 

They've got four yellow cards so they'll have to look to change some of them (Rafa does this usually) or back off a bit. Can they afford to back off?

Our players yellow is Thiago who always gets booked and always gets subbed off.

Be funny to put his ‘tackle’ and then Allan’s first tackle next to each other. Show any person and any referee which ones do you think is a yellow card and see what the thoughts are.

We just took our foot off the pedal at 2-0 and got more worried about their " tackling " than our football .

I tell you now, the biggest threat here is the ref. He has lost the plot.

Studs up challenge, yellow card, pull back yellow card, he's decided what he was going to do before the game kicked off.

This can go a couple if ways, he panics and doesn't pull a card again giving Everton carte blanche to do what they want.

He carries on handing out cards indiscriminately t and anybody could get sent off.

Someone has a word and he starts to actually have a hold of the game.

 

They can go have richarilson have a hack and dacoure before they are totally out of it.

The issue is really that they have used up the flops and mane and salah would want to have a brain here and not attempt anything on their area cos the ref will be dying to even it up.

If I were rafa I would be wanting to press up but it's far too easy for us to slide through them with the two up so they could haul off rondon for another cm and push gray on maybe?

Gray seems to be able to get in between matip and trent and so I would be trying to exploit that as the header power is not evident here but the pace and space is there to break on us.

Bullshit it was, if anything that incorrect yellow revved up the crowd and the tramps in turn.

 

Mccoist got excited when Everton started to press saying it was much better; he either ignored it or was completely oblivious to us taking advantage of the surface that press created. We want teams to do that!
