I was a critic of Joelinton, but credit where credit is due. Since how took over he has looked a different player and tonight he was excellent. Keep improving Joe.
His shooting has certainly improved. Previously his efforts were no more than timid backpasses. Now he’s smashing them goalwards…unfortunately they are about 10 foot over the bar at the minute but once he cracks that we’re gonna see some worldies! He was a boss tonight like…can’t blame him for some of shots, i would have done exactly the same…we weren’t exactly creating a hatful of chances and there’s always the possibility that you catch one sweet enough for it to rake into the top corner…..as we found out sadly up the other end! Loving the new joelinton like…putting himself about and showing us that there is something there in terms of a player finally. Managed to shake off the Bruceifix and is born again!
You know the team is absolutely ****, dead and buried when we are using Joelinton as the standard for the other players. He has improved yes. But the quality just isn’t there I am afraid. He’s an average player in an extremely terrible team.
Guti was a far better player like, I remember when plenty on this board and the old 606 disliked Jonas as not good enough. "He doesn't cross!" The guy was an engine, top player.
