Kudos for McCann for actually playing a formation we have all been suggesting for long enough ! Is it his first choice formation ? I doubt it .. would he have changed it unless his arm was forced due to Injuries etc .. I doubt it .. Will he revert to 433 once he gets his players back to play his preferred system ? Who knows but I suspect he might. Do I think it would be fair to replace him having won 4 on the trott ... nope ... but since when did football become fair ? My fear is that he will revert to type as soon as he gets his preferred line up fit, do I still think another manager would be better in the long run .. absofkinlutely ! Although as I have said countless times here I would be nervous having a novice of these leagues in charge with us still in a very perilous position. One thing I am pretty certain of is that our new potential owner will be monitoring things very closely and given his footballing knowledge and background will be on top of it.
It could be a long time before he has a first choice rb available though, might have no option but 3 at the back.
Depends if he keeps winning I guess, while utilising the formation we have currently due to lack of personnel ! A conundrum indeed
The problem is McCann has been **** most of the season - we've only won 6 games out of 20 and 4 of those are matches 17, 18, 19 and 20 - to sack him now might be a tad unjust based on the last 4 games but at what point does he get sacked because unless we keep winning every game he will be going at some stage - isn't it better to give the new guy the transfer window and allow the new owner the freedom to buy the players he wants - the new owner has been clear that he wants a Turkish influence on the team - retaining McCann doesn't do that and again only delays the inevitable - if he is to be believed, McCann will be going sooner rather than later and Acun will be at the helm making the decisions he wants, with the people he wants and playing the style of football that he wants - that maybe 4 3 3 it may not, who knows - a new dawn awaits which will close a chapter in the club's history that has brought a great success on the field and a lot of pain off it - welcome Acun, **** off Allam
We won’t be signing Turkish players any time soon. Only top level players will be able to get a work permit and I very much doubt top level Turkish lads will want to play in the Championship.
we didn't seem to have much trouble getting Gedo and Fathi to play for us on loan deals - appreciate they were Egyptian and maybe that was different, I don't know, but Allam made that possible and I'm sure Acun will already have checked whether it's possible to bring in people from Turkey, especially as he's investing £30 million on the basis it is possible, otherwise why say he's going to bring in a Turkish people - he'd look a real plonker if after spending all that money he can't follow up on his strategy
They were both internationals who were attached to Egyptian league sides at a time when the league was temporarily suspended. Plus, without wishing to get into politics, the immigration rules are different now.
You must have been in the ICU and missed it but there is no longer a shortage. The fuel stations are all working and supermarket shelfs are full. Christmas has been saved.
Internationals will get work permits. There's good internationals that would sign to play at the top end of the championship with a chance of promotion. In a global context, the championship is a very, very strong league.
The eleven that started for Turkey in their last game against Montenegro play for: Trabzonspor (3) Atalanta Leicester City Karagumruk Lille (2) Galatasaray (2) Inter Milan Do you really think a move to Hull City would be attractive to any international playing for those clubs? I don't.
