I am righteously chastised and appreciative! Thanks @TheRealBubbles - guess it doesn't hurt Bubbles is Canadian!
So, after 4 of the 5 games in November we have: 7 points, 5 goals scored, 6 goals conceded Having given Nicewelshlumberjack and Trundles Left Foot a defaulted 7,7,7 (see posts above) this month's chart looks as follows: Who could gain the maximum 15 points this month? Neveroffsidereff with a 3-0 win over Reading can do it. I believe he is the only one, but happy to be wrong. The 4 goals conceded at Bournemouth has messed it up for a lot of people.
Swansea 2 Reading 3. That definately wasn't in the script. So we end November with: 7 points, 7 goals scored, 9 goals conceded The final chart therefore looks like this: Points scored as follows: Azzuriswan 0+1+0=1 Glamexile 0+5+0=5 Neveroffsidereff 0+3+0=3 Mono 0+5+0=5 The Real Bubbles 1+3+0=4 Swantastic 1+3+0=4 Mustyfrog 1+5+0=6 Taffvalerowdy 3+3+0=6 Daimungeezer 3+3+0=6 55282 3+5+0=8 Aswan_dam 5+3+0=8 Nicewelshlumberjack 5+5+1=11 TrundlesLeftFoot 5+5+1=11 So this month's winners are Nicewelshlumberjack and Trundles Left Foot with 11 points, even though neither of them posted a prediction on time on the official thread Honourable mentions to Aswan and 55282 for getting 8 points in second place. Not for the first time, Azzuriswan gets the wooden spoon scoring 1 point. Updated points table to follow.
Revised league table as follows: Daimungeezer now shares top spot with Trundles Left Foot on 29 points. Mono and Taffvalerowdy are joint third. Azzuriswan is propping up the table. Which brings us back to this month's 'debacle' with certain posters not posting on time or not at all or posting in advance of their season's intention etc etc For the remainder of the season, the following rules are going to apply: 1) Only predictions posted on the official prediction league thread will count and they must be posted before the kick-off time of the first match of the month. 2) I will put up the month's official thread earlier than I have been to give everyone ample time. The rules have to be consistent and apply to everyone, so next season (if I'm still doing it!) there might be some mileage in each poster selecting a default prediction in case they forget to post. Or to keep things simpler again, just have the same defaults across the board for everyone. I would be interested to have your views on this
Hmm, not so sure really. 7-7-7 is a decent prediction for a 5-game month. There should be a penalty for not predicting at all/on time otherwise the competition is devalued. Perhaps give anyone who doesn't predict 2 points as a token gesture. Otherwise someone could win the entire competition without predicting at all!
I have to agree. If you don't post your prediction then no entry that month. Putting the thread up earlier is all you can do to help.
I agree. It’s the same with Sky’s Super Six - no predictions = no entry. There’s no default to 6 0-0 forecasts.
