I’d have Roberts in my team ahead of Firpo.

I’d be amazed if we ever saw Joffy and Bamford playing alongside each other (under Bielsa), it will be one or the other. In support it’s Rodrigo then very close between Roberts and Klich, (Roberts has been edging it) or it was until we’ve started seeing James played in the slot.

I agree. WJ may be Scottish, but he's one of our own!

    Morning all.
I have to agree with Jammy, he never moans, every time he comes on he gets stuck in straight away. You get some subs who come on and disappear but he doesn't. He gets up and down the pitch and harrasses opponents.
He's a Welsh international so of course teams would want him.
I agree he's probably a Championship club starter and he struggles for end product but while he keeps doing what he's doing and Bielsa picks him I'm ok with it.
It's not his fault he's not quite good enough. Your target should be Bielsa for picking him.
I'd be delighted if Joffy kept him out of the side and, as I said before, I think Joffy will be our super sub this season. Joffy running at a tired defence will be fantastic to watch.

For me, he’s the new Aidy White. Let’s keep him for another 5 years so we can keep posting about the possibility of him coming good soon.

I saw glimpses of his talent his last game. All he has to do is the same for 90 minutes and boy what a player he’d be….. etc etc

    I vote sell

The reality is that Tyler has got so many good points like:
    • Fast feet
    • Quick brain
    • High levels of skill
    • Guile
But unfortunate for him he cannot seem to use those skills a joined up way so he ends up with no end product and many missed opportunities to impact the game. He is obviously great in training…… maybe if he used his instinct rather than a slight delay that means no shot, no pass, and leads to losing the ball or looking silly

He’s definitely a Premiership version of White. Who had fast feet and little else, if I recall.

it’s a pity because genuinely he does show flashes. I’m just thinking he’ll have had every chance and top coaching from Bielsa’s team, so after a time you have to draw a line.

IMO there's a confidence issue with Roberts. He overthinks as he doesn't trust his instincts and that leads to one touch too many, getting closed down, getting dispossessed etc. Against Hull when he scored two he was in the zone and looked a natural talent, but that was the last time I saw him like that. I wonder if being a sub has added to his concerns. To me that means he's not mentally tough enough or doesn't have enough self belief. Maybe that is what Bielsa is referring to? As to the rest, IMO Firpo's inconsistency is hampering the midfield - too concerned with him to play as they want to.

86.7% of readers of this thread vote for Tyler to be sold/moved on and when you read articles and threads anywhere from Wales supporters and Leeds supporters anywhere you now see a massive move to off him. We all cant be wrong, but all he has to do is turn it on just once and many will change their minds. Tyler please FFS stop letting Bielsa down who seems to be your only supporter besides Jammy and a couple more on here. Create a goal, score a goal, keep possession and look good, just contribute something ffs after 100 games……please

The Hull game is the real dilemma, for me. I think he has had few performances of note, and reckon his injury absences have perhaps hindered his development over the years he’s been with us. Part of me thinks he’ll never become a premiership player, but then I keep coming back to that Hull game, where his build up play and finishing IMO (granted from memory) was bordering on sublime.

Yes I realise it was against a poor Hull team but he still showed terrific ability in that game. For me I think he needs to go on loan for half a season in the championship and see what improvements regular football provides. Whether we could allow that in January will depend on our results/injuries up to the new year and any transfer incomings ( unlikely?).

If I'm honest about Roberts, whatever his failings were in the past, I'm absolutely convinced that they have been overshadowed by his his diminishing confidence level, which must be close to crisis point - even for Bielsa.

Thinking purely about the lad's future - whether with Leeds or otherwise - it's essential for him to find a new club in January, either as a loan or purchase, just to get himself together. What we are witnessing now, I think, is someone simply trying too hard to make an impression, & it's reversing his reputation, rather than enhancing it. It's particularly evident in the u23s, where he demands to take pens, insists on shooting when a pass will be more productive etc. It's desperation on his part. It's a similar situation in the first team where he maintains his shoot on sight policy, again whether it's the right thing to do or not. He's trying so hard to impress, & who can blame him for it?

Bielsa has not 'cured' him, so the best advice I can offer him is to have mega sessions with a sports psychologist to find his true, balanced level. Only once he achieves this will he be able to realise the best way forward for his career, imo - assuming he gets a choice, of course!

Was thinking to myself that’s another 6 games where he can live on the reputation that he improved a performance that was on par with our worst under Bielsa.

It’s good to know he reads Not606 and realised he needed to buck his ideas up.
