That's my fear. He may also assume that the 30,000 gates will hold up too. I'm really scared that they are so impressed with the fan base that they might not fully understand how close to breaking point we are.
Out-of-Work Managers: Championship & EFL Contenders DANIEL FARKE ALEX NEIL XISCO MUÑOZ TONY PULIS CHRIS HUGHTON NEIL LENNON MARK HUGHES GARRY MONK NEIL WARNOCK PAUL LAMBERT UWE RÖSLER SOL CAMPBELL CHRIS COLEMAN Oh and SIMON GRAYSON
If we finish the season 10th and LJ is removed, how many do you think will get behind the lads and new manager next season? My son and I would be there even if we were relegated.
I think you need to look at the list and think to yourself who would get us out of this s hit league, and I honestly believe with this team Warnock would piss it, but then a whole new can of worms is opened once we are out of it.
Pep Clotet is currently managing SPAL in Serie B in Italy, who are playing badly and have just lost their last two home games to mediocre opposition (I was at both games). Their main problem is the shipping of stupid goals. He could well be sacked by SPAL soon and be available.
I won't give up either, but I can see people getting fed up. Maybe I'm wrong, and we are already at the 'hard core' level already.
What a deluded prick..... LJ: STEWART NEEDS TO WORK HARDER After last night's draw against Shrewsbury, Lee Johnson has demanded more from Sunderland's top scorer Ross Stewart, who is in double figures for the season... LIVEN UP "I think he has to liven himself up a little bit at times. I'm the number one member of the Ross Stewart fan club - he could be top scorer in this league, but you have to go out and show the desire to be top scorer in this league." INCONSISTENT "In games like this, there was the potential to score one, score two, but I thought his spatial awareness wasn't as good as it normally is. We did feed him, particularly in the first half, but his upper body strength and movement is inconsistent at the moment. That's his next development phase, where he gets that physicality right." STANDARDS "He works his socks off - he ran 13.5km against Ipswich on Saturday - and it was a thankless task against a side that had a lot of possession, and we love him to bits but it doesn't stop me driving his standards, for a player that we believe in and a player that I think has the potential to be the top scorer in the league."
It seems the man knows very little about leadership. I’ve posted this before: never, ever criticise a player publically. The entire team yes if warranted. But not an individual - that’s our job!
Aye, hard to imagine how players being complained about publicly is going to help us at this moment in time. We need to get back to basics in training not point fingers. Especially not at Stewart FFS. He's the best thing we've got going for us.
Whilst I’m still in the ‘keep’ Lee Johnson camp, it’s certainly on a game by game basis at the moment. If we are still outside the top 2 at Christmas, I’d change it, giving someone else a chance with the January window. That somebody I’d love to be Daniel farke.
I'd love to think we are all wrong and we are in or at least near the top two going into January. It just doesn't look like anything like it now.
for me it depends on this next game, if we show any sign of improvement and get the win, its 7 points from 9, which is acceptable. however, if we lose with another inept performance then its time to act, and get him out. My take on it is that he seems to have lost the respect and backing from the players, and this has handed the power to them, they now have his future in their hands. I think they'll hang him out to dry on saturday.
