4th off bottom and 10 men we still couldnt dominate them and we let them score heads will have to roll
Enough is enough the manager lost the match for us tonight We were pressing well second half then what the **** move our most mobile aggressive midfielder to full back being on Evans who is ****e oh and leaves on gooch Gave up the midfield. Pritchard having his best game for us Takes him off Really really pissed off tonight we had a comfortable win in our hands and the manager blew it. Something needs to change quickly
Sorry mate, I'll have to stick with they're ****e. Yes we had a good start to the season but a lot of the wins were close games where we scraped the win and we didn't play well. The Crewe and Cheltenham games aside, none of the wins stick out for me where we played really well and dominated from start to finish. I said exactly the same last season when we went on the decent run and only 1 game stood out where we played really well and that was the Portsmouth game. The rest weren't good performances but we managed to grind out a lot of the results. I honestly don't know how Johnson wants us, or has us playing. It's certainly not the high press like he preaches to favour because I've not seen that for weeks and not consistently before then either tbh.
Nice one mate, admire your commitment. I'm very despondent at the moment but will probably perk up. There's only so much you can take though.
Surely he must realise the fans wont put up with that ****e on offer, they are a good team and have proved it ,so whats gone wrong, the only viable option is the coach
Sorry like but that’s my lot with Johnson mind. Scandalous second half performance and substitutions in those circumstances.
Roker Report Player Ratings: Ron-Thorben Hoffmann: 6/10 No chance with the goal after a good finish by the Shrewsbury player but not much to do otherwise. Lynden Gooch: 6/10 Started at right back and did quite well from that position, made a couple of important blocks in the first half and had one shot brilliantly tipped round the post. Struggled further forward in the second half. Bailey Wright: 7/10 Solid at the back, won everything in the air. Callum Doyle: 6/10 Quiet game for Doyle, did nothing wrong but would have liked to have seen him use the extra space in the second half. Luke O’Nien: 7/10 Solid display at left back, got forward well but should have done much better with one cross from Gooch in the second half. Got an assist for Pritchard’s goal but that was mainly down to the forward. Dan Neil: 7/10 Had a couple of efforts on goal, one well stopped by the goalkeeper and another just wide. One cross late on almost set up the winner for Broadhead and kept trying to make the team tick. Carl Winchester: 6/10 Started in central midfield, finished at right back and did ok in both possessions without really impressing. Alex Pritchard: 8/10 Caused Shrewsbury problems whenever he had the ball, scored a great goal after cutting inside onto his right foot and it was a surprise to see him substituted. Aiden O’Brien: 4/10 Worked hard for the team without causing any kind of a problem for the home side, anonymous going forward. Nathan Broadhead: 6/10 Smacked the post late on from a tight angle and put a shift in all night. Showed plenty of good footwork but only scraps to work off around their box. Ross Stewart: 5/10 Put a shift in, as you would expect from Stewart and caused problems in the first half from his closing down but no service other a slight headed touch on a cross from Pritchard. Subs Aiden McGeady: 4/10 Came on as we looked for a winner but his final ball let him down and then spent the last few minutes almost at left back nursing an injury. Leon Dajaku: 5/10 Came on at the same time as McGeady, did put a couple of dangerous looking crosses in that didn’t come to anything but had a late free kick in a dangerous position and completely overhit the cross. Corry Evans: 5/10 Came on early in the second half for the ineffective O’Brien, had one chance that was blocked but otherwise a quiet display. Man of the Match: Alex Pritchard Scored his first goal for the club with a superbly taken finish into the far corner after cutting inside, was at the heart of most of Sunderland’s best moves (which there were no where near enough of) while he was on the pitch and looked more confident tonight.
You would think heads would roll but I’m not sure they will. The results and performances of late have been terrible. This game could have ended with a loss. They just seemed to want it more than us which is worrying. There doesn’t appear to be anyone on the pitch who gets into the players when needed calm them when needed and to direct and orchestrate the pattern and pace of play. It will be interesting or maybe it won’t to hear how Johnson sees this result.
i agree, if we are sacking him, at least give the new bloke some time to work with. l j has had enough games to halt the slide in form , but we're looking **** every game and that can't continue.
Have to agree we would have won comfortably tonight until the manager made ridiculous changes we have the best squad in this league but at times we are a mess. I really wanted Johnson to do well but tonight was ridiculous and all on him No idea where we go from here but we are in league one for god sake we need to be better than this
I should be at home decorating the new house but fear it would look like a Jackson Pollock if I’ve got the match on the wireless in the background. Better to be there and get a sense of things up close and personal in what is a v small ground. And have a few beers. I wonder if lJ is still there. Surely KLD and KS have options lined up, so they step in a month before the window opens and arrest the slide
Feels like 2 points dropped? feels like? Is he on ****ing crack! We were winning it against 10 men, it doesn’t just ****ing feel like 2 points dropped! arsehole.
