So, mild onset arthritis behind the knee cap.

No cartilage damage or problems, no ligament problems and had already been given the all clear on the main joint.

So, supplements and a brace and crack on.

Knee cap replacement longer term maybe, but not till I'm a proper old ****er.

Squats gone forever though. Not looking forward to trying to stand up after a fall skiing either.

Celecoxib is good for arthritis mate, if you can get the doctor to prescribe it to you, also better than other drugs especially on the stomach. Just take them when you need them, ie if you know you are going to go skiing, start a course a few days before you go, during and after. Only have with food. It does not cure it, only alleviates the pain. I think the brand name is Celebrex.

I used to give my old Ridgeback Glucosamine and Chondroitin for his arthritis when he was an old boy. I think it's made up of the same stuff that is found in cartilage. There was a noticeable difference in his mobility and joint stiffness when I started him on that.

    Glucosamine and Chondroitin MSM... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09443LV9Q/?tag=not606-21

I started taking this a couple of weeks ago. Difficult to say if there is any improvement in my joints.

Not having the chondroitin. The surgeon said not to bother, that's for cartilage.

Buying some more turmeric sups too, high level curcumin.

Supposed to workso will give it a go.

Why do people with arthritis wear those copper wrist bands, or I have I just made that up?

Not made up but they don't work and if they do it's only psychologically and it's probably not arthritis they are treating, even though that's what they think due to some other temporary ache or pain.

I thought it must be some voodoo **** because it seemed so random but at one time I remember seeing loads of people wearing them but I never questioned it. Someone must have mentioned arthritis to me at some point but I’d never bothered looking it up.

As you probably know artritis is an awful disease, imagine going through daily life not being able to turn a tap on, or pick up a kettle to make a brew. Sports activities you can work around but doing basic daily life tasks then it's far more difficult during flare ups. My logic to people who think a copper band works, then it would be gods gift to millions of people, sadly it's not and they have to down poxy drugs. I do know some old people wear them, and if it psychologically helps them feel better than fair enough. Generally what happens is they have to hold their arm in an upright position across the chest to soothe it, I expect them seeing the band there is what they think is creating the soothing, rather than it being a natural resting position. I always think of it like someone with a broken arm in a sling.

One is, the other pain relief.

The glucosamine sulphate supposed to be very good in holding off oesteo arthritis.

And mine is seemingly very mild case anyway.

The Glucosamine and Chondroitin did wonders for my old Ridgey. Isn't arthritis an inflammatory issue ? In which case good quality Turmeric should help. I think Omega -3 and Omega-6 are supposed to be good too. So lots of oily fish and eggs etc. I'm only going on what I gave my dog, but it all made a tangible difference and there's none of that psychosomatic stuff with dogs, it either works or it doesn't <ok>
