Bet they wanted revenge for us knocking them out of the cup. Considering how good our Woman’s team is the club don’t always make them easy to follow online
Welcome to the world of women's football. Meanwhile, Portsmouth, Farnborough, the Minnesota Vikings and both my NFL fantasy teams won this weekend. Woop.
FULL TIME Saints hold the 2 - 1 lead and make their way into the next round! Saints Women 2 - 1 MK Dons Women.
Southampton Women 1 down at Portsmouth. Update: 1 - 1 Kendall 65th min. Full time 1 - 1. Extra time. Saints Women 2 - 1 up 112th minute. Finished 2 - 1 Saints Women. The lousy week-end just got a wee bit better.
Congratulations, seemed a good game for the neutral, competitive at least. Not too fussed about the result, I used to be very involved with Portsmouth Ladies (as they were then) until the new media officer started taking over my role without even speaking to me, then I found out the club had released Sadie and Charley at the same time as the fans (and in the same way), so it was yeah thanks for the heads up guys, so I resigned as it felt like I was being pushed out and wasn't really part of the club. Good times. Got to go to some really random grounds though, Hayling United, Winchester, Moneyfields, etc. All of which were home grounds. Honestly they've been as nomadic as the Bedouin in their history.

Saints Women won 1 - 0 after extra time v Bristol City https://www.southamptonfc.com/women...mens-fa-cup/saints-vs-bristol-city-2022-01-30
Looked like a good game That was a soft pen Bristol got From the Athletic “Toby Steele, the club’s managing director and one of the women’s team’s biggest proponents behind the scenes, was in attendance at St Mary’s to cheer his side on along with 3,638 supporters — comfortably their biggest turnout of the season“
See there is interest in women's football below the WSL, but if you listen to the FA and the biased media, you'd think there's no such thing as women's football below the championship and there's only about 20 teams in the entire country
Saints will face current league leaders Ipswich away in the VitalityWFACup fifth round! The match will be played on the weekend of the 26th- 27th February!
