I love conte’s passion

 

Energy and effort in the second half won that game.

Conte brings the energy and passion this squad badly needs

 

Game of two halves. Conte is trying to infuse Spurs with positive spirit. I hope he has large quantities to spare.

I think the solution for Kane is to petition the FA to include Albania and San Moreno in the PL

I think the first half really sums up where we are and have been for a long while. Poor touches, easy passes messed up and a mixture of retrearing within ourselves and rash frustration. It's a team that has been told to hide their weaknesses, not strengthen them. A team that has tried to play off the back foot, not the front for years. The negativity has been indulged.

The second half was a huge improvement in terms of mentality but I doubt it's how Conte intends us to play. What is interesting in terms of Conte though, is that the surprise inclusions of Tanganga and WInks, along with the subs of Sessegnon and Alli, are all players who were at Spurs over the international break. One of the others to remain over the break was Ndombele, who was called out by Conte in the pre match press conference. It's a balance of ability and understanding what Conte wants. AT the moment, there are no players in form but by bringing in those who have been on the fringes who are listening to him it sends an important message to the squad as a whole.

It'll be interesting to see if the Lucas, Son & Kane front 3 gets looked at over the coming month too. Son and Kane feel too big to drop but we need some more creativity in there and neither is providing the lethal edge they're supposed to so I'm curious to see how Conte will manage it.

Conte made a difference at ht.

Pushed everyone 15 yards further forward which got Kane, Son and Moura in their penalty area. We were much closer to their players and he really got the crowd going in the last 10 mins.

It also got Winks and Reguilón to perform much better. Thought they both had very good second halves.

He ordered the players to not lose their focus after scoring and celebrated like we'd won a cup game each time we scored.

He also has taken kane off free kicks.

Am happy with a manager for the first time since before covid !!!
