... could see us back on track. Ipswich v Rotherham Lincoln City v Portsmouth Plymouth v Wycombe Sheff Wed v MK Dons Oxford Utd v Rotherham Plymouth v Wigan Sheff Wed v Wycombe A few draws could be a very good thing for us. There are other games which could benefit us but Plymouth, Wycombe and Rotherham have a tough week. Oh yeah, and we play Shrewsbury and Cambridge
If we’re serious about promotion then we must get 6 points next week, no excuses. I can see quite a few draws in those games you’ve listed. Next Saturday evening we could well be in a cracking position…
I didn't watch the game but the stats at home are a bit of a concern. Only two shots on target and possession/passes. Obviously the win is important and hopefully builds confidence. What was the consensus on how well/bad we played ?
Looking slightly ahead just got my tickets for the Morecambe game, bringing the grandson (14) whose been watching Morecambe a lot this season and is well up for this, hope he goes home disappointed
as i said on the other thread, we are not passing well especially that final ball, we did not have that problem a few games ago...i think our best cross came from onien into stewart who was running onto the cross, not an easy chance and had to be timed perfect but he missed it, other than that i cant really recall any good service to the front men. i would have the lot of them over the 5-a-side pitches at durham and get that passing game back up to scratch.
Big week for us, hopefully we pick up 6 points and let the rest take points off eachother. Yesterday was a massive result and sets the week up very nicely indeed. HTL
we were terrible, I felt sorry for the Ipswich fans, coming away from that game with nowt must have felt like a mugging.
Been here before. Winnable games. Tough games for others. We know how this will end don’t we? ITHICS.
To be honest apart from the Hoff triple save they did not create that much imo. They were better footballers getting to where it mattered but finishing was naff. It was just a strange game.
Spot on with this mate. They passed it about better, had more possession blah blah but they did **** all with it. ****e game I thought with neither side having any real threat. Quick add, they had 4 on target but 3 were one after another with the triple save.
It was a poor game granted and they had a lot of possession but didn’t create a lot. We were wasteful with possession but ultimately all that mattered yesterday was getting that win. Some tough games for other sides but we just need to take care of our games. It’s been one of a number of failings we’ve had whilst down here (wasting games in hand being another). I’d be delighted if we got six points regardless of how the other fixtures pan out.
I know some people prefer to 'concentrate' on our games and ignore the others, but some of our rivals are dropping points this week, possibly six ... ... there are turning points in every season and this could be ours.
Yet I’m not! Think that’s why I like Johnson. He takes the positive route from poor games. (Not his management which I’m firmly on the fence about, just his persona). I look for positive stuff constantly. Call me a happy clapper if you want, it I’d rather look forward to seeing SAFC than the way somewhere going on before the match. I said before to my mate that we had 3 things which I’d be pleased with, play well and win, play well and don’t win, play poorly and win. Whilst I don’t think we were as bad as some of the crappy clappers(??) are making out, we weren’t great to watch.. we won. That’s aLl that atters
