Longman Honeyman Greaves Good stuff from KLP and indeed most of the players today. IMHO the lads looked good going forward and 'unshackled' playing in this formation. I'll get criticised for this but despite his goal, Wilks does not warrant getting a starting shirt for me.
Honeyman Longman Docherty but all played well except Magennis who looked knackered and Wilks who’s still a shadow of last season - but at least scored.
I think its very unlikely you'll get criticised for suggesting Wilks is lucky to be still holding down a first team place!
Greaves (all the back three played well) Baxter - some sympathy for Ingram but I think Baxter has better command of his area and safer handling. Longman - nice to see him get a proper run out and he did well.
Smallwood - good passes , tackles and blocks . Protected the back 3 . Greaves - solid and energetic Longman - nice assist and had to defend when needed . Was a pest down the left in the first half. It was another decent team performance with special mention to Baxter with a clean sheet , mcloughlin and Bernard assisting Greaves , and Doc and Honeyman helping KLP and Longman to get forward. Once again we failed to get more goals from the chances created. Well done boys. Come on City .
Longman - Always a threat down the left. Greaves - Dominant in strong back three Baxter - Looked strong throughout. Great save to prevent equalizer in first half. Great team performance. Honeyman/Docherty make huge difference in CMF.
Longman - so he’ll inevitably get dropped for Cardiff. KLP - so he’ll inevitably get shifted back to wide left for Cardiff. Baxter - time to get Ingram back in ffs! And we’ll definitely revert to 433 for Cardiff!
KLP Honeyman Longman Potter was by far and away the best player of the 22/21 on the pitch today. Outstanding. Closely followed by Honeyman.
