I totally defend our right to protest even if I totally disagree with the message.

But these people are so crass it honestly makes me wonder if they're plants from a group opposed to climate change initiatives.

Good protest should change minds, not make everyone feel like ripping out their insulation in protest.

Once they were glued in place people should have dropped stink bombs all around them.
Do they still sell stink bombs?

We let burglars, robbers and shoplifters off time and time again without prison sentences, but cause people minor inconveniences by sitting on a road for a very worthwhile cause and it is do not pass go. The world has gone mad.

As someone who has just survived a violent attempted burglary, and found great difficulty in even getting a response from our overworked public servants I fully endorse your sentiments so well expressed. <ok>

I’ve got no problem if they start treating burglars and such like the same.
Give them a fair trial then hang ‘em.

What, for theft and burglary? Have you thought about moving to Saudi Arabia and joining up with Islamic fundamentalists?

It's a bit more complicated than that mind.

Not only have these individuals been in blatant and repeated breach of the law, causing great harm, inconvenience and expense to others, they are also in breach of a court injunction to prevent them from blocking roads. The fact that some people are indulged with egregiously soft sentences for other crimes is another matter altogether

Those imprisoned are like foot stamping, screaming children who must have what THEY want. And have it now.

It should be no surprise to anyone who has dug into this matter to find out that both these preposterous and self entitled, overgrown children, and those of the equally absurd Extinction Rebellion are both essentially off shoots of the far left wing organisation "Rising Up!", whose aim is more or less the Marxist dream of deconstructing society and re-making it in the way they see fit.

As long as it doesn't have to involve anything as common as an election of course.

Watermelons indeed. It was ever thus.

I agree that blocking roads is a step too far, left or right, they deserve to be punished.
