Are we in danger of losing Rudi, Christensen, Dave and Silva??

All out of contract end of season apparently, and Rudi and Christensen particularly looking for bigger and better deals, which seems to be normal these days.
Heard very little about Dave or Silva, but Dave must be looking over his shoulder as he comes towards the end of a fabulous career. Would not surprise if he headed back to Spain for the last year of so of his football life. Silva is a top, top player who needs plenty of rest days, and may well be happy to go again for us.
I think Rudi will go, Christensen get the "top job" contract he has earned, and stay on, and Dave probably move on as well.
Do we have the personnel with Reece, Malang Sarr and Trevoh or do we need a Jules Kunde type as well??
We let a couple of very good defenders go, and I would think may now come up short ,and need to spend big to bolster the defence.

 

I'm happy to let the current incumbents to decide what happens to our club for the moment. Some will go, some will stay it's a natural thing that is and will always will happen at every club that exist's or has ever existed, sad to see Hazard go even more Lampard throw in Alan Hudson even Osgood. loads and I mean loads of other players will come in and go. Dave is one that will be hard to let go but he is already showing signs of his age. Let in the youth and blend it with experience, who goes and who stay's is irrelevant for us fan's because we really do not have a say in it. Tuchel see's more of them than us and I am happy to trust his judgement for now. Gallagher by the way is a cert for a retun to The Bridge.

 

Blending youth and experience is something I really believe in, and fortunately something Frank kicked off properly, and Audi has embraced as well.
Gallagher looks made to order for our midfield, with Billy Gilmour another gem waiting to shine.
The Manager seems to have a real gift for lifting players to their top level, and we look to be close to that position where we can recruit from inside, and only buy absolute top players in small numbers into the future. Big change from years past, and a more sustainable way to go.

 

Who did we let go that you wanted to keep? And I thought you wanted to play youth players not spend big?

What would happen to Trevor if we bought a £50m CB.

I remember you were really angry when we bought Rudi and sold Nathan Ake for example.

Oh here we go again, your selective memory kicks in as soon as I post.
Instead of questioning my past position on players, sellers, keepers, buyers, which I have been posting with honesty for years , how about you post yours ,regarding every player we have? Let's have your honest opinion of every player in the squad, and your opinion of their ability, prospects, and future? Then identify who we need to sell, buy or promote from the Youth teams. That's a bit harder than sniping from the sidelines? Are you up for it? If not then **** off
Too easy to rehash opinions of years ago, not so easy to stand up and be counted now?

I'm not bothered if we lose Azpilicueta or Rudiger but would be a big shame to lose Christensen and Thiago Silva - not sure how we'd replace them.

 

I’d keep Silva and get him to be a defensive coach for the young lads coming through. Unfortunately if Rudiger wants to go then let him. He won’t play for a better team in Europe and no one is going to pay him 400k a week!

 

If we can get Christensen signed up, we hold all the cards. No team in their right mind will pay Rudiger £200k-£400k per week.

 

I expect Silva will sign for another year and it’d be silly for us not to do that, he’s incredible. Rudiger will probably leave but I still think he’s limited to a back 3 and not suited to a back 4 at all so I’m interested to see where he goes. I’d be surprised if Christensen as he’s pretty much another academy product and has probably earned a decent deal following recent performances.

We need two new defenders in the summer imo.
