https://news.sky.com/story/premier-...-amid-clubs-fury-over-newcastle-deal-12470160 Loving how the press and the PL clubs are demanding this little rat faced bastard has to leave his position for allowing the NUFC takeover to go through. The reality of all this, is, it was this utter **** that held the takeover up for as long as he did. The no red flags statements were true till this little Qatari paid bell-end rocked up throwing spanners in the works. As for the rest of the PL clubs, nowt says anti competitive behaviour like demonstrating anti-competitive behaviour. It has **** all to do with them if a club is being taken over yet they are all screaming as to why they weren't briefed. The PL needs government reform as it has become a corrupt ****pit. Masters needs to go too.
Too right, the bloke is a ****ing disgrace. Of course they were always gonna pin it on being down to NUFC, we’re swiftly becoming the convenient go to ****ing excuse for everything…especially where them slags at sky are concerned! Masters next hopefully!
I wonder if this was part of Ashley's deal accept the takeover and leave or get exposed and go to prison
I agree Masters next, then I hope the government force through a regulator and then I hope the whole thing falls on SKY and BeIN next. I hope those ****ers lose the rights to the PL and clubs get to strike their own broadcast deals or streaming services. Without the PL Sky and Murdoch are ****ed.
To be fair mate, Ashley didn't need to threaten him with prison, the CPS are doing a good enough job of that anyway with regards the Monzo carry on. Of course the lazy bastard journalists wont report the fact that this **** would fail a fit and proper persons test as the reason he is leaving his role.
"The clubs' complaints were swiftly rejected by the Premier League on account of its confidentiality obligations during discussions with the consortium, which also includes the financier Amanda Staveley and Jamie Reuben, a member of the billionaire property-owning family." now I know this part is at least bullshit the consortium were not involved in the negotiations Hoffman was having discussions with Ashley and his legal guys the consortium knew nothing of these behind the scenes activities
I love how they're reporting this as if the takeover was passed easily.. Where were the reports regarding the club case?
I might be missing something here but are we being found guilty of a crime we have not even committed. We have not spent a penny yet on players. Made no sponsorship deals. Said deals will be reviewed for commerciality anyways. I don’t understand all this crap. We have been taken over by an entity which is there to MAKE money not spunk it away. So it’s all about investments through the right channels.
This quote just ****ing annoys me to ****. We have not spent any money yet and the owners have made it clear that any investment will be steady and mostly on infrastructure. It’s not a threat to their so called big six yet and won’t be for a long time. And I mean just look at the statement. We are bound by financial play rules. Just look at the spends of the top 5 (spurs can **** themselves) over the last 4 years compared to everyone else. Hypocrisy at its finest. “Clubs have already started the process of stopping commercial deals associated with the ownership in an effort to reduce the amount of money Newcastle can spend, for fear it will distort the league.”
Let's see what his resignation speech/letter states. I will bet at no point on it will there be a mention of NUFC takeover. I highly suspect the **** is away to hit the fan with regards Monzo/money laundering. A conviction which would automatically disqualify him from having a position on any board in the UK. Of course the lazy bastard jouno's haven't mentioned a word of this as they jump on the NUFC bandwagon. The idea that he is being forced to resign due to PL club chairmen demanding it as a result of a legitimate business takeover is the very definition of anti-competitive cartel behaviour but these idiots don't see that.
I love the twist the media are putting on it.. Suggesting the premier league were dodgy putting it through Ffs it took 18 months and legal cases
Aye, and had those legal cases not been started we would have still had Ashley in charge. The piracy issue being resolved was a convenient excuse for them to suddenly give it the stamp of approval when in reality it had very ****ing little to do with the hold up at all. The fact is the big 6 didn't want it, Masters and Hoffman had secret ****ing meetings with them. Evidence of this came to light and they were ****ing rinsed in court at that pre-CAT meeting by NUFC's legal team Now they're playing all the silly games they can, and basically saying you've got your takeover now but we're gonna make your life very difficult now. I love the line about him overseeing the multi-million pound fines handed down to the clubs who signed up to the ESL....wow what a shrewd piece of work that was. So instead of kicking said clubs out of the league which they would have been perfectly within their rights to do, they fined them each about £3m...comedy! Doesn't take a genius to work out why like !!
