Can we have the next race right now? I'm ready for another!

Winter is going to suck after this season.

well, I didn't know that the stewards knew it wasn't designed like that, but wouldn't let Mercedes do anything about it, yet apparently let redbull work on their rear wing after qualfying in Parc Ferme.
bit dodgy if you ask me.

Surely he just loosened them? Can't imagine they can see seat belts from the camera views?

I'd expect a 2 race ban here. And he'll have to formally apologise to Christian Horner.

Gotta be just a fine, right? Anything else and I swear I'll stop watching.

Considering Leclerc did two laps at racing speed without seatbelts, and nothing was ever said about it, anything more than a fine would be deeply unfair.

It's odd that we saw nothing in the news this week about Hamilton running over Masi's grandmother, and dog. I would have thought it would have made the news.

What a race! Magnificent, masterful, mesmerising. Where's that goat emoji when I need it?

Can't believe Max didn't get a 5 second penalty for that T4 'defending'. If (and it's still a big if) Lewis does end up winning the championship and Max fans start whining about Silverstone I will simply point to this incident and explain that a champion knows to stay patient and avoid an incident, even when it's not your fault, and to win out in the end.

Need Bottas to step up in one of these next three races and secure a 1-2. I think he has that in him.

    I'm on a proper high!

Which wouldn't have mattered one jot in the real championship.

The reality is Perez isnt capable of matching bottas regularly so constructors is boned

To be fair to Perez he would have beaten Bottas today without the VSC

Although I must admit, I'm not sure how touching a car is 10x worse than taking your belts off on a race track.
    $50,000 vs $5,000

I suppose you could argue one gets in the way of sporting integrity whereas the other just puts yourself at risk. Not a good example for kids though.

I was thinking about that and came to the conclusion that in theory by touching a competitors car could gain you technical info that you would otherwise not be able to gain. For arguments sake Max could have discovered that Merc use a flexible skin on a wing. Once a competitor gains information they can't forget it. I know it's mega unlikely that he gleaned anything but it's possible.
Taking belts off really only has the potential to hurt the driver himself, he can't gain any advantage as the race was over. So 5K with 20K suspended till end of year just sends a message to everyone that seatbelts must be fitted correctly while on a track.
