This is a regular argument on here, but, success does not necessarily correlate to amount spent.eg Grigg
Moyes was throwing the towel in. Setting us up for failure before the season had really got going. Johnson was saying we'd been doing well, despite him having the impression that some people thought we might not. I don't see how its possible to think the two are similar under any circumstances.
YEh the both different But how can Johnson think people thought we would not do well Does he not realise supporters want and expect us to do well and get promoted
For every season at the start we have expectations Which ever division we are in the majority of supporters { I think } have the same expectations In the third division to expect promotion is a must
I think a lot said they would be happy to finish in the top half whilst the team was dismantled and rebuilt with youth.
Top half of the third tear is just not on I can’t understand your statement Surly people would not be happy to finish top half There are other teams in the third division every year finishing higher than us
Bollocks to another year in the third tier. 30k most weeks is outstanding loyalty and not being promoted to have a 5th season here is abject failure by all involved at the club. I started going to the match in the 74/75 season and have had a season ticket for over 30 years I’ll be ****ed if I’ve got to apologise for expecting better.
What's not to understand ? Sift back through old posts here or RTG and you'll see a spectrum of positivity and negativity. I personally hope every season is ours, even under parky I've thought "this is it" . Happy with a top half finish was the wrong word granted. Just noticed that lol. "Hopeful but expect more appropriate .
Yeah top half finish stuck out for me How on earth can someone be happy with a top half finish That’s what I don’t understand
