Yeah, I agree. To sack the manager and the whole backroom staff, without a backup lined up, is shocking. Neil Adams it is, then...
That article has been out for a while without any evidence to back it up. The fact that Smith is in New York with his family at the moment might cast some doubt. A monumental mess though if he does pull out as well. SW must be sh*tting himself if that is the case and his career is going down the tubes as well. We'll probably end up with Colin or Pulis.
We managed to ruthlessly cut down all the C.V's to a shortlist of 3 . Interviewed 2 and neither of them want it . Pantomime season
We may have to. What a mess. I think we're entitled to an update from Webber rather than this hold on and wait 24-48 hours to find out what's going on.
Did SW only have one egg in his basket? I can't believe he was counting on Lampard to take the job without others in mind as backup. Smith hadn't been sacked yet, so he wasn't on the list. Knutsen hasn't been talked to yet, according to "reports." I don't even know where the Knutsen rumor came from. There have to be others we haven't heard about, don't there?
**** me this is all a bit awkward eh? We fired our manager and a week later we are making headlines by managers announcing they aren't coming to us. All a bit embarrassing as it stands. I agreed that farke seems like a buster flush in the premier League at this point, but to get rid of him on the hope that we can grab a 'glamour' name signing instead seems woefully blind to our current position in the league and indeed the wider football world. I hope that Webber is doing something much more unseen behind all this
It would seriously have a lot of Town fans pi$$ing themselves with laughter……..I think that tells you all you need to know
Apparently Lampard never got offered the job, to turn it down. Does make me wonder who we get, probably another manager abroad with no English experience. Really is a shambles, I thought sacking Farke after the win, they must have had someone lined up, ready to go.
