Yeah, I think so, because if they still look championship bound after Xmas, I doubt their list of managerial candidates at that point will have anyone more impressive than Howe on it because they won't attract a top manager to get them promoted again. I don't feel they'll stick with Howe if they go down though, despite his record of promotions from the Championship.

 

It won't happen but just to entertain it for a second. Ralph going to Norwich would make no sense at all. He'd be on a even more restricted budget than he is here.

I saw a note earlier saying Norwich are trying to keep the names out of the media and then this ridiculous list surfaces

I am inclined to believe the former and that this is just sky making it up to generate news and also manipulate betting markets

 

After Ronald pissed off to the blue Scousers after feeling sure that he would turn them down and stay with us I promised myself to not get too emotionally attached to another manager but look at my avatar!...
I do believe that Ralph is a different man to Koeman but I have mentally prepared for him leaving even if I don't think that he will.

 

Being *super* cautious about it, I do wonder why his name is suddenly cropping up with these jobs - and whether his agent might have put feelers out? I know people really liked his response regarding it not being his squad, but the right squad for Southampton - that could be taken one of two ways.

But I'm almost definitely putting 2+2 and making 83.

 

If Ralph had been super successful I can see him wanting a fresh challenge like Villa.

The fact the board have stood by him after two 9-0's and a poor sequence of results, I think would mean alot to Ralph and will repay that loyalty by not jumping ship at the first opportunity. Plus a chance to develop this team now

 

Yeah. It’s the one concern in the back of my mind. Maybe Ralph’s agent is attempting to boost his standing and strengthen his hand while the sun is shining.

Not too far fetched to be considered as a ploy to bait AVFC either. Let’s face it, they were daft enough to let themselves get baited by Smith Rowe’s agent in the summer.

However, that Villa story was far more credible. Dependable journalists in the Telegraph, Times and Athletic will always trump a rogue article on the Sky Sports website, hooked up to some betting odds.

I think if a team like Norwich comes in for him, its only fair of Saints to let Ralph speak to them.
