    Yeah my mistake mate.
It’s Obvs what’s being drilled into them because the burge of old would never try that **** imo.
All well and good when we’re playing good and there’s space but to try that when two strikers are closing ya down is just asking for trouble.

Hoff wasnt playing, Burge was in goal. But I get your point, this playing out from back is goona cost us a few points.

As I said on a previous thread we have been well sussed on our style of play , other teams have used a high press and yet we are still trying to play out from the back with disastrous results . The principle is fine if you have players who are confident on the ball but our midfield players struggle to pass the ball effectively never mind the back four , where is plan B .

Thank you mate interesting read, for me now what ever LJ says ill take with a pinch of salt until i see a marked improvement on the pitch, Had enough of Donalds silky gob ****e words, I was right behind LJ and looking forward to the season ahead but the last 5 games have left my dreams of promotion in tatters, and Prehabs subtle hints have me questioning what will happen next, im still up for this Saturdays match , but my confidence level for a win is minimal

I'm Still in the belief Johnson should be given the opportunity to sort this out. Up till the Charlton game we were a decent side, playing decent football. These players have simply downed tools, there must be a reason. I don't buy this social media thing Johnson is saying. If we have players who cannot put up with stinging criticism then they really are at the wrong club. The Ipswich game is huge, if that goes tits up then I fear for the backlash from the home crowd and I fear the manager will be gone soon after.

Sick and tired of things always being the fault of us fans.

If they don't want to face criticism on social media for bad performances then that suggests a couple of easy fixes.

Stay off social media until you either start playing to the level you are being paid or until you grow a pair of bollocks.

I agree mate. It’s true that LJs record at Sunderland isnt bad, but what bothers me most is his seeming inability to manage a game. Can’t he see when a player needs subbing or when tactics need to be changed? I’m no football expert but even I could see that we needed to switch to long ball v Portsmouth and that defending 1 goal leads by repeatedly weakening our attacking ability by bringing on a defender is a risk.
