Can’t see a thread so delete if there is one. Honeyman KLP Baxter (distribution was class even if not a lot of saves to make)
KLP - I'm not sure he'd have been selected if it was up to me but he really shone today. Honeyman - a well taken goal and a good assist for KLP's goal. Emmanuel - a difficult choice here as I think there were several very good candidates. Powerful as ever, difficult to get past and strong on the break.
KLP Honeyman Emmanuel Difficult to pick just three as Greaves, Elder and Baxter also excellent. Fully deserved the win today.
KLP … less temper tantrums and more product. Lovely to see it. Honeyman… obviously increased fitness and confidence means we see the player of last season. Emmanuel … had an off day the other week, again back to the player we saw against Boro but all the back 4 looked good including Coyle before the injury
Good team performance. Apart from the first 10 mins when they passed the ball well we fully deserved the points. The only disappointment was we failed to score more . KLP - a menace down the left , could of had several assists but scored the vital second . Honeyman - Goal , a pest . He was back to his best . Bernard - ably assisted by Greaves he was solid and tackled well . Special mention to Baxter with a clean sheet and some competent goalkeeping although I cannot see why Ingram was dropped . Well done boys . Come in City .
Greaves Klp Smallwood Emannuel was class too, as were most, subs were a step up from those they replaced.....
Honeyman, last seasonesque. KLP, decision making needs improvement, although I’m sure the goal will give him some confidence. Doc, I thought after George, Doc was similar to last season too. Greaves, I thought was going to give a penalty away, IMO, it was, but the fact the ball had gone off the Barnsley player’s shin already, saved us.
Gorgeous George - energy craft and a goal, all 3 which we have been lost without Emmanuel - sad to see Coyle go off injured but for the life of me I can't understand why this lad plays second fiddle to him. KLP - improved as the game went on Greaves didn't do bad and Elder was his usual self Wilks - waste of a shirt
KLP Elder Docherty. Mention too for our away fans. Seven games away without a goal and they still turned up today. over 1,500 of us. Good to see so many young lads too ( everyone is young compared to me) in the 16 to 25 ish age bracket. They made a racket too for the full 90 minutes without a single chant of 'getting sacked in the morning' Happy days. UTT.
George Emmanuel Greaves Special mention to Baxter. His distribution showed we have an alternative when needed
