This is absolutely hilarious to see. They've gone from Zidane to Conte to Mourinho Fonseca to Benitez to Emery.. To just appoint Howe hahahahahaha
If prostituting your self before murdering and grotesque terrorists is "waking up" , then you must be pitifully desperate . You no longer support a club. It is dead . You will now cheer lead for obscene people who hold the West in open contempt, and will laugh loudly to themselves that they have found so needy a group of people that they can try this on. But the abuse will continue from all quarters. And the hapless Stavely and whoever decides to turn up at away games can expect regular reminders that they now own the most loathed football team in the world. Enjoy.
At a family gathering a few years back in Chopwell I met a lovely old lady, Vera, who'd been to the 1955 final with Newcastle. The stories she had to tell were fascinating from the train leaving Central Station to the cup coming home through the streets of Newcastle. It seemed like such a wonderful innocent time. I don't know if she's still with us but I doubt she'd look on her club with the same sense of love and pride. Her club has gone forever.
That's the thing. Football is stewing in its own juices anyway now, with a premier competition barely watchable at times. But still fans have their clubs , apart from City who have also been kidnapped, but that lot up there do not now have a club. Worth saying here that Emery will not have turned that job down because of scruples, as he was quite happy working for the Qataris, who are almost as bad as the Saudis. He just wouldn't touch it. He's not daft.
The Mags believe their 'passion' is a huge attraction but it more likely puts people off. Would Liverpool supporters, an actual top club, dance around like imbeciles with tea towels and sunglasses ... ... or parade through the streets with a coffin dressed as a vicar. What they miss is that supporting your club isn't always having to be the centre of attention
Unashamedly stolen but brilliant ) I helped an old lady across the road the other day. "Can you manage" I said. "Yes" she said, "but I don't want the Newcastle job".
Amanda Staveley was charged with bringing in a top international coach ... ... this has just been seen arriving at SJP. please log in to view this image
