Definitely, not good there but wasted as well.

I'd rather see him wide instead of Gooch, he covers the ground quicker.

We're complaining about teams bullying us in games and winning.
    Hmmm.

I think he's a tidy player and has done OK for us there but if its from the flanks that we're having problems, it would seem sensible to change something in those areas.

It was in response to your plea to get Keane back. It illustrates the type of hard line manager he was. You aren’t alone on here wanting him back but whether his attitude would get the best out of young players is a moote point.

Just watched the highlights. Obviously it doesn't tell the whole story, but it does show we created chances. It also shows that our right flank is a problem area as all 3 goals originated, in one way or another, from that area of the pitch.

Shocking display once again he looks a beaten man in that interview and that’s not a good sign imo.
defence has been an absolute shambles lately, how he never changed the defence after a 5-1 defeat is beyond me.
but end of the day it’s only 3 defeats not the end of the world.

I think I can take defeats, after 60 years watching and following SAFC ( I must surely have a natural immunity) but the manner of the last three defeats causes me some concerns, at my time of life will I see SAFC in the Premiership again? Hope so

Norton that first goal was the most horrific i have ever seen as a Sunderland supporter, he had acres of ****ing space just turned inside and said thanks had a shot and Hoffman was ****, i better keep away from that ****ing ground as i am ready to do some twat down there, they better not bump into me either i don't give a ****. These refs are ****ing taking the piss as well and their days are numbered.

Oh aye Monts, the defending was shocking. Not disagreeing with you there. Doesn't look like we were outplayed though, or ever really out of the game. Just undone by a nightmare in defence. Some work to be done on the training ground but it wouldn't look so bad if it hadn't come straight after Rotherham.

And Portsmouth and Charlton. 4 out of 6 in a month of 31 days. Simply not good enough.

So two cup games to place more youth, then a gap before Ipswich

players look like they need a rest and coaching team had time to work on our game management options/formations. They need to show a marked improvement against Ipswich, and a positive result.

On a more positive front we should have Big Arby up to speed by then, plus Btoadhead up top. But we lack better options at RB, LB and DM, which only the window can help resolve. Huggins & Hume both long-term injuries and O’Nien is carrying his - he needs a break. How LJ manages through til then is gonna be a real test.

I have no idea what has happened to Gooch but he's a shadow of the player we first saw in this league. Not only does he make the wrong decisions in possession, he's now switching off and forgetting his defensive duties. His positioning for the first goal was criminal. I wouldn't expect that from my son's u14s team never mind a professional footballer
