I hope it's loads but can't help but feel like the number of people boycotting like you is only small compared to the number of more casual fans who just lost interest with the Allams and the negativity they surrounded the club with. They'll take longer to get back.

The Allams never understood from day 1 that lifelong football fans emotionally attached to their club are not to be treated the same way as as someone looking to buy a marine generator (ie this is the price, if you don't like it, do one!!) Hopefully the new owners are supporters themselves (which The Allams have never been) & therefore know how fans are to be treated!!!

I intend to go back for the first game as I always said I would, but our lives have moved on since we last went in 2015. We used to plan everything around City games, I can’t see us ever getting back to that.

At least they won't be using the 'we aren't football people' as an excuse for being inept...

We're all thinking the same thing obvs. How much money do they have?

It will take quite a large investment to turn this season around and we'll only have the January transfer window.

They will have to throw money at it just to keep us up.

4 - 5 proven championship signings, new coach and DOF/recruitment manager should see us safe this season

Obviously the stated aim is to 'make a noise in the world' - that will take serious long term investment but I think they'll know that.

Again only rumours but I believe one or more of the backers has significant wealth.

To be fair we've not had a pot to piss in for so long then even moderate spending in January is going to feel like a bonanza.

But even this season that's a huge investment. Assuming we pay fees for 5 players who are championship quality, that's probably £8-10m straight away. Assuming they're all on £10k a week is, that's another £2.5m per year commitment. It's a substantial investment straight away and that might not even be enough to keep us in the league.

I don't think we need to spend that on fees yet, but any DOF will need to hit the ground running and we can't afford to wait till the end of Jan to bring players in. It needs to happen early on to give us a chance
