If I remember rightly, there was a stat during the season before last where he and van Dijk were the only CBs in Europe's top five leagues to have not been dribbled past up to a certain point, not sure if it lasted the full season but it was a substantial amount of time. Italian's are just different breeds when it comes to CB.

He’s got a nice run of fixtures in the League coming up too, basically until Leicester on December 16th. Everton, Leeds, Burnley, Brentford, Norwich, and Brighton. There are no gimmes but hopefully this is a good bedding in period. I wonder what his attitude to the ECL will be. I wouldn’t be surprised to see us go strong initially just to get the players all together on the pitch in a new system (though many have played 3atb before).
I like Alasdair Gold. I don't often listen to all of his stuff and haven't bothered at all for 18 months...but this is worth listening to...
