I don't believe that this appeal has been set up or worded properly and I doubt that it'll reach it's goal, too vague and too many questions.

Who are the people involved, are the police investigating, was it only Sunderland supporters in that area, were Rotherham supporters throwing objects, who started it, etc.

This is a 'guilty without question' social media post that makes Sunderland supporters look bad ...

... I'd contribute if it happened the way that it's claimed, but not to try to whitewash us and manipulate opinions.

    That's for Newcastle to attempt.

If it turns out that a Sunderland supporter is guilty as claimed I'd want him arrested, charged and locked up, but I'm not jumping on a moral high ground bandwagon just because of an incongruous Twitter post.

I'm not trying to whitewash anyone. Just want to show the true quality of Sunderland fans.

Yes. I have now closed the page, organised refunds and sent the girls mother a £50 Amazon voucher to spend.

Do you mind me asking how you got in touch.

I'm not being difficult mate, it's just that the whole thing is terrible for all concerned.

It was a good idea and a nice gesture, why did you feel you had to close the page and issue refunds?

The hassle was starting across various platforms so I thought **** it and bought an amazon voucher instead.

Well done, as I say, it's a great gesture. Shame when gobshites decide to get involved and spoil it.

I'm sorry if I was part of that mate, it just didn't gel with me ...

... I always contribute if it's clear cut, no pun intended I assure you.

I really hope these things don't escalate ...

... a few mates were in the Corner Bar, after Crewe, when their nutters came in and told them they had 5 minutes to get out.

They're a bunch of normal lads who just go to every game, no harm in them.

Something has gone wrong hasn't it.
