I understand what you are saying, but it ain't over until the fat lady sings. No fat ladies spotted in West Park. Well, none that can sing.
But has it been confirmed that it is the Turks that have exclusive access? Maybe we’ve all assumed wrongly & the yanks got to due dill first??? I’m not saying this has happened, just a theory
No, but the Allams can't just change the terms of the deal at this point without a whole heap of legal trouble. The Turks have a period of exclusivity now in which to conclude the deal. Part of which will be getting past the EFL owners test.
Piece of piss that if the Newcastle deal is anything to go by. Q: Have you got the money. A: Yes, our assets include every Kebab shop and Barbers in Hull. Sorted
Is it sorted then. Have the Allams gone? It'll be the due diligence of the club that takes the time, not the EFL questioning of the new owners.
You were the one claiming the fit a proper owners test is a piece of piss to pass, the Newcastle one took ages to work out who had the money and where it came from. The due diligence bit should be easier as it should all be in the accounts already. Assets, loans, debts, etc.
Absolutely SW3 Chelsea Tiger. That is why I asked noting that the Club Statement does not provide any confirmation/ information on the party in question just that we have entered into “a period of exclusivity for due diligence”. MoH
Good shout...OLM. Pop of turkey is 83.5 m.....of which 16 million live in the Istanbul area. Bigger urban area than London and slightly less than Moscow.
And the last time we were in that position the premier league knocked back the Dai Yongge deal after the Allams said their goodbyes and they ended up buying Reading instead. That said, its now out of the Allams hands, they can't just shift the goalposts on a whim at the stage this is currently at.
I suspect the due diligence will be more or less done bar the shouting, but of course published accounts only go to the end of the previous financial year.
Do you think anyone would have signed heads of terms and paid a deposit were the structure of the deal isn't agreed?
