Club Statement The Club can today announce that Nuno Espírito Santo and his coaching staff Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa and Antonio Dias have been relieved of their duties. Fabio Paratici, Managing Director, Football, said: "I know how much Nuno and his coaching staff wanted to succeed and I regret that we have had to take this decision. “Nuno is a true gentleman and will always be welcome here. We should like to thank him and his coaching staff and wish them well for the future.” A further coaching update will follow in due course.
I phoned as well, after my conversation he doesn't stand any chance in spite of performances to the contrary!
How many time's does this happen for managers/players great at one club move to another and it turns to rat ****.
How many times do clubs not give new managers time to settle in and get the team playing as they want Nuno is a very good manager but it's another case of whoa few games in you got to go we are hitting panic buttons.
Get him in here. He was on a hiding to nothing with the Kane situation and IMO some of the other players were pissed off that Kane didn't go. Anyway, he worked wonders with Wolves so go for a bigger wild animal and join 'The Tigers' Never gonna happen though sadly.
The point i was trying to make(not very well) there was sometime's it better to stay put and enjoy your sucess rather than risk it all else where.
The players don't like him, the fans don't like him and his results were crap, there was absolutely no point in sticking with him.
A lot don't like the people above them no matter what job you have , results may have been crap but 4 months in charge that is no time at all to walk into a new club and make things happen as quick as they want, fans don't like anyone who can't give them results they want every week, Players think they are a law unto themselves and think they are overly important and club's should cater for there every whim. Man Utd never liked Ferguson in 1st season , West Ham Hated Moyes at First. The Point i am making is that now Clubs and Fans do not give managers a fair crack at the whip so to speak to many clubs just want results soon as they say your hired.
In general I don't disagree with the point you made, I just think in this case it was always going to happen, it was the wrong appointment for them.
Peter Levy is a lot of things, but a football manager he ain't. He'd have trouble determining what's a rugby ball and what's a football. Nice guy though!
